Product information 01/2010
Profile wheels with grip(s) expand IBAK product range
The IBAK product range comprises
profile wheel sets in various sizes for
every IBAK camera tractor. Positive
feedback from the industry indicates
that our profile wheels have excellent
traction in comparison to standard
wheel sets, particularly in PVC and
clay pipes.
Also new to IBAK is the profile
wheel set 122 (item no. 900410391
or 900410491). All IBAK camera
tractors that can take rim 108 (KRA
4/5/75/85, PANORAMO, LISY1.x and
150 as well as T76/T86) can also be
fitted with the new wheel set 122.
Depending on the area of application,
the wheels are provided with interchangeable profile tyres. The brown
profile tyres are made out of PUR
and have a higher shore hardness
compared to the black NBR tyres.

If the tyres become worn down due
to continual use, they can be changed
by the operator. By purchasing a profile wheel set, you are purchasing a
solution that is cost-effective and
environmentally-friendly in the long
term. This is because only worn parts
are replaced when required, rather
than the whole wheel set.

The use of a combination of different tyre types is a no-go area for cars,
but it can be advantageous when it comes to camera tractors used in certain inspection situations.

The camera tractor T66 pictured above is equipped with profile wheels 105 on
the front and granulated wheels 105 at the rear. The profile wheels ‘hook’ themselves in the pipe joint misalignments and ensure smooth passage. The granulated
wheels at the rear provide increased grip.

The profile wheels 122 are retrospectively compatible. This means that
owners of older IBAK camera systems (TRITON, ARGUS, LISY), which are
based on KRA 4 or KRA 5 camera tractors, can also use these wheels.
