Used Truck Association (UTA) – Michelin North America Inc. (MNA) Tire Program UTA member MICHELIN Advantage Program application instruction guide. Follow these instructions to apply for an account with Michelin and have access to the MICHELIN Advantage Program. PLEASE NOTICE THAT THIS IS A PROGRAM JUST FOR ACTIVE U.S. BASED UTA MEMBERS. Get Started! 1. Go to the www.uta.org website. Sign in the Member Login section. Click on the Michelin/UTA Tire Program banner 2. Hit the link to apply for the Program, it will open an application form: Answer the question on where did you hear about the Program, you can scroll down to find different options, then Go to Application Instructions on how to fill an application Program details and Pricing Apply to the Program 1 3. Please input your business information in the first section of the application. Only fields marked with * are required to process the application. A physical address is required to process the application. ** Note: If you want your invoices to be sent to a P.O. Box, please provide also that information under the P.O. Box Section. Please be sure that you provide your legal name as it is registered under the Secretary of the State Please fill P.O. Box section too if you want to receive your receipts in a P.O. Box address 4. Under the BILLING INFORMATION section, select whether you want your invoices (receipt) to be sent to: Mail address or Fax. Ship-To Location (your account information with Michelin), will be pre populated based on what you provided in the first section. 5. Under ANNUAL TIRE UNIT PURCHASES section, please input an estimation of your annual tire purchases per product line. 2 Invoices (receipts) to be sent to Mail or Fax Estimation on your annual purchases 6. SALES TAX EXEMPT section: Please select if your application will be processed as a Not Tax Exempt or as a Tax Exempt. If you select the Yes Tax Exempt option, please be sure that you have your tax exemption form in an electronic file (even a picture from your phone can work) and upload the document as part of the application. If no exemption certificate is attached, applicable sales tax will be charged in your next purchase. 3 7. Read the agreement terms and conditions, and input your Name, Title and Name again under the signature section. Check the small box to elect to sign the document by electronic signature, Submit the Application. Your Name Your Title Your Name again Submit the application If you get an error message, please fix the yellowed sections. You should get a succesfull submitted application message, as well as a confirmation email in your email address. If you have different locations, please fill one application per location. 8. Your application will be processed by Michelin. It generally takes between 10-14 days to review an application and set up a new account membership. 4 If you have questions regarding your application or wish to contact us, please call 1-888-532-6435 and select option 3 Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). 9. Once your application is processed and your new account with Michelin is set up, you will receive a Welcome email in the email address that you provided when sign in your application. This will contain your account information. Please take note of your Ship-To account number. This is the number that you will need to provide to the Michelin and BFGoodrich Truck Tire Dealer to make your future tire purchases. Ship-To Account Number = your account with Michelin 10. Register your Credit Card in Michelin’s System for your future Purchases As you will be purchasing the tires directly from Michelin, through a Michelin Dealer, you will need to pre-register the credit or debit card (s) you wish to use for the purchase with Michelin. This is done for security of your credit card information. At the time of purchase the Dealer will only ask for the name on the card, the first digit, last four digits and the expiration date. This protects your full credit card information for security purposes. You can register your credit card information by login in www.michelinb2b.com. Use your User Name and Password provided in the welcome email. 6 Link to access to the Credit Card registration Credit Card Management The Credit Card Management application will require user name and password to access the secured database. User Name will be populated based on your MichelinB2B login. However, for security reasons, your password must be reentered to access the secured credit card database. Re-enter password and press Enter or click Login. The Credit Card Management Application home page will be displayed. 7 A link to a Quick Reference Guide for step-by-step instructions on Credit Card Registration will be provided in your Welcome email. Please keep in your records the name on the card, the first digit and last four digits on the card and the expiration date as it is registered in our system, since you will need to provide this information to our Dealers to process your purchase. You can call MICHELIN Customer Service at 1-888-532-6435 Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. and select option 2 to register your credit card. Michelin only accepts Visa ®, MasterCard® or American Express®. 12. Your Welcome Kit You should be receiving a welcome kit at the provided Ship-To address as part of your welcome package. This includes point-of-sale materials with MICHELIN® brand data books and tire reference guides, MICHELIN® X One® product information, BFGoodrich® brand data books and tire reference guides. You can use all this information to promote MICHELIN and BFGoodrich tires with your customers. You can even invite them to join the MICHELIN Advantage Program! 13. Purchase your Tires! You can find a new Tire or Retread, you can check prices and download the price list and you can find the nearest Michelin and BFGoodrich Tire Dealer in the member’s website at www.michelinb2b.com. Use your User Name and Password provided in the welcome email to access. 8 Find a Tire Check/Download Prices Find a Dealer 9 Tell the dealer you will be purchasing your tires with your Michelin (Ship-To) account. You will need to provide this number to the dealer. The dealer should give you an ESTIMATE on the price of the tires when you make your first call to them. The ACTUAL discounted tire price will be shown on the invoice that you receive from Michelin a few days after your tires have been installed. Any fees for mounting, balancing, state and local taxes and tire disposal are extra and quoted locally by the servicing dealer so those fees are not included in the discount program. Complete the Purchase with credit card After the work is finished, you will need to provide the dealer with your VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card information to complete the transaction at the servicing dealership. You will only provide the dealer with the name on the card, first digit, last four digits and expiration date of the card that you pre-registered. Your credit card will be billed by Michelin, so do not be surprised if you get an invoice from the dealer with a zero balance or an inflated balance. Your credit card will be billed the discounted price, not the inflated price. You should receive your invoice within seven business days from the date of purchase. The transaction is now complete.
