The Zoffany Winterbourne collection for Autumn 2015 is the epitome
of relaxed sophistication.
A glorious fusion of documentary expertise and contemporary craftsmanship,
paired with the most exquisite selection of the very best natural yarns,
engenders an elegant collection. With carefully considered harmonious
colours, it allows beautiful layering of pattern and texture.
The successful mineral palette of previous launches prevails, augmented with
seasonal accents of deep charcoal, teal and ink blues.
The collection comprises six print designs and two embroideries and is
complemented by three stunning new plain weaves.

WINTERBOURNE FABRICS
ROSE ABSOLUTE A flamboyant 19th century document has been transformed
into a contemporary design by enlarging the scale, and by the use of unusual
colour combinations, which retain the antique textures of the original document.
It is digitally printed onto a fabulous wool ground in two colourways.
HAZLEWOOD An elegant floral trail painted in watercolour by Lorraine Kerr
in the Zoffany studio. Designed with a classic trail layout, the generous scale and
restrained use of colour help to give this design a contemporary feel. Delicate
highlights of white pigment bring added dimension to the flowers, differentiating it
from a digital print. It is flat bed printed in three colourways on a soft lightweight
linen suitable for curtains, cushions and bedcovers.
PIETRA DAMASK This design has been created with a layered, marbled effect by
Peter Gomez in the studio. Using the Nureyev damask motif as a starting point,
layers of texture are used to soften the damask image for a contemporary look.
Digitally printed on viscose/linen in three neutral colourways, which emulate the
look of natural marble, it is suitable for curtains and upholstery.
EDINBRIDGE A weeping willow pattern, sketched from nature, to capture the
twisting essence of the willow’s foliage. It is printed traditionally to give a handpainted effect, on Lustre Zoffany’s new piece dyed plain, to allow customers to
mix the two collections together. Available in three colourways, it is suitable for
upholstery and curtains.

KERNOW This delicate pattern of scattered ferns was designed by Rosie
Mennen and is digitally printed to capture the finesse of her original painting.
A rich charcoal colourway is printed onto an exotic silk/viscose quality, which
makes for fabulous curtains and decorative cushions. Three delicate colourways
on linen capture the almost lace-like nature of the ferns and are suitable for
curtains and upholstery.
WINTERBOURNE The design inspiration for Winterbourne came from an
ancient wall painting (possibly 16th century). Melissa White, expert in this field,
was commissioned to paint it, in the soft gesso textures and subtle tonality, which
are typical of her work. The design shows a monotone trail and is printed on
viscose/silk in two colourways.
POMEGRANATE TREE This was adapted by Claire Hart in the Zoffany studio
from the Winterbourne print. Similar 16th century motifs of pomegranate and fruit
have been stylised and arranged as a two-over embroidered trail, featuring linen
appliqué on a silk ground. This impressive fabric is available in three colourways.
KASHI Taken from Zoffany’s Annapurna print from the Town & Country collection,
this embroidered ikat design features soft tonal embroidery colours and a hint of
metallic thread to highlight. It is embroidered in two soft neutral colourways on a
linen ground.
WEAVE COLLECTIONS
LUSTRE A soft linen viscose quality, which Zoffany regularly use as a ground for
their prints, has now been piece dyed as a plain. Now in twenty-eight colours, it
is finished with a light glaze to give a subtle sheen to the surface. It has a lovely
drape and is suitable for curtains and upholstery.

AUDLEY A superior plain with a beautiful surface effect, Audley is woven in a mix
of cotton, linen, polyester and viscose. The viscose warp is space dyed to give a
subtle antique effect to the colour, a herringbone structure adds further texture
to the weave and a hidden chenille weft yarn adds a beautiful softness of touch
that can be felt but not seen. This is a classic quality that suits contemporary and
traditional furniture, which can also be used for contract specifications.
BRAY LINENS This collection of twenty five linens and linen mixes comprises
almost entirely of neutral shades; an impeccable choice of off-whites, linens,
chocolate browns, charcoals and silver grey can be found among the eight
qualities. Some are available only in one natural undyed shade whilst Bray, a classic
mid-weight upholstery linen, is available in thirteen shades. An affordable price
point is an added bonus.

All qualities are suitable for upholstery, many for curtains depending on the drape.
