Recently, the Cleveland Institute of
Art held the regional competition in
which over 2,000 works of art were
submitted. The judges consisted of

Currently, the exhibition is on display at CIA’s Reinberger Galleries,
and will remain on display until February 2.
Lindsay Lingruen – Honorable
Mention (painting)

their baroque Aim and Ignite with an
accessible sophomore record inspired
by the music of hip-hop acts like
Kanye West. You wouldn’t be doing
this album the justice it deserves if all
you’ve heard off of it are singles “We

Lana Del Rey is super fun. Check out

Link Crew
(Frankie Reddy and Phil Fedor)
Talon: What is the goal of your organization?
Frank and Phil: The goal of Link Crew is to help acclimate freshman into the high school
and instill a strong sense of school pride.
Talon: How often do you meet?
Frank and Phil: We meet at least once a month as a large group, with meetings in our
own subgroups. (Examples: Spirit, Fundraising, and Academic)
Talon: Who are the advisors?
Frank and Phil: The advisors are: Mr. Snook, Mr. La Bella, Mrs. Rosenberg, Mr.
Derbin, Mr. Koontz, Mrs. Jamieson, and Mr. Patrina.
Talon: What activities do you sponsor?
Frank and Phil: We sponsor various activities to assist freshman, including orientation
before the start of the school year and midterm study help.
Talon: What’s the best about being part of this organization?
Frank and Phil: The best part about being a Link Leader is knowing that you make a
difference in the lives of freshman.
Talon: Provide a funny story of something that happened at one of your functions:
Frank and Phil: At training for freshman orientation over the summer, Frank Reddy
spilled my water on me while I was drinking it. To get back at him, I squeezed his water
while he was drinking it and it got all over his chest. I then thought we were even. However my adversary did not. At the time I had long hair, and Frank, recognizing my
weakness, placed his chewed gum onto my head and tangled it into my hair. Luckily, I
got it out using vegetable oil.

Appathy
The utter lack of interest that ensues shortly after
downloading numerous, mind-numbingly worthless
apps for an iPhone or similar "smart phone" device.
Ex: He could not remember if his appathy started after
he got the light saber app, or just before he downloaded the karaoke app.
Google girlfriend
An imaginary girlfriend whom one would brag about to
his friends and use a picture of "said girl" from Google.
Ex: Willis says he’s got a girlfriend, but I saw her picture, and she’s totally a Google girlfriend.
Apartment ninja
One who steps lightly on the floor in a second/third story apartment.
Ex: I totally have to be an apartment ninja because my

Transition Friend
A person that brings together 2 or more people that
would otherwise not actually hang out. He acts as the

Ex: I can’t go to Freddy’s party unless Greg goes with
