Message from the CEO
My heartfelt greetings and felicitations to all DXN members!
Message from the CEO
The grand opening of our new DXN Philippines headquarters has received great
appreciations. The 3-storey new DXN office with a floor area of 3,100 square
meters is considered the largest headquarters among all the DXN branches
worldwide. On its 14th year, DXN Philippines continues to be the leader among
MLM industries in the Philippines, providing health benefits and financial
opportunities to generations of Filipino families.
The Icing On the Cake (IOC), an additional compensation plan (uni-level) added
to the existing Marketing Plan of DXN, is now spanning to over 20 countries
and counting. With this compensation plan, you as a member can start to earn
exponential income, accelerate network expansion, and promote you faster
under the marketing plan. There is no qualification or monthly maintenance
required to entitle for a bonus. Other exciting benefits you can enjoy as an IOC
member also includes: receiving two kinds of bonuses namely: Uni-level Bonus
of 5% to 15% up to the 11th level, and Icing Profit of 1.5% until infinity! Once
you invest you can earn forever. Dynamic Compression also applies here. This
means if a member did not join this plan, the IOC bonus based on iSV shall
be passed over to those uplines who already joined according the compressed
hierarchy. With IOC, you can develop a bigger and stronger network and earn
a more substantial income.
MLM business presents many challenges and as such we should cooperate with
the aim of achieving mutual benefits. It is my fervent wish that we all work
together to make DXN stronger and more relevant to the promotion of health
and wealth not only in the Philippines but in the entire world. We are united in
upholding one company, one direction campaign. As we journey towards our
15th year, we are humbled by what we have achieved through your continuous
efforts, hard work and dedication.
Guided by its dedication to current international standards of excellence, DXN
will continue to serve and help improve the lives of generations of Filipinos in
2015 and beyond, bringing our “One World One Market” philosophy to our
various sectors of society through our dedicated and dependable members and
employees.
Cheers to a remarkable 14 years as we look forward to more milestones!

Message from the Country Manager
Greetings to all!
With hindsight, it can be seen with clarity that what we have been doing is in
line with our action plan, which has started to show positive results heading for
another phase of exponential growth.
Firstly, the Regional Sales Assemblies that rolled out in the nation’s 5 regions
had proven to be very successful. The attendees grew in number. Motivated
and inspired by company updates, achievers felt well-recognized for their
contribution to the organization’s success as well.
Message from the Country Manager
Secondly, several mega sizzles organized by leaders at the new headquarters
were really jampacked with energized participants.
4
Good Morning DXN 2nd Quarter 2014
Thirdly, the training program to develop Star Agents and Star Rubies into Star
Diamonds had received overwhelming response nationwide, with more than 10
batches of training were conducted.
Then came the peak of all events: the grand launching of the DXN Philippines
new headquarters on the 18th of May 2014. It was officiated by the DXN
founder and CEO Dato’ Dr. Lim Siow Jin. In conjunction with this grand event
was a dinner held for the Advisory Council members, Crown Diamonds, Star
Diamonds of various ranks and Service Center Directors who share casual
moments with the CEO.
As of now, this new DXN Philippines Headquarters is considered as the largest
headquarters among all the DXN branches worldwide. This is truly another
milestone achieved by DXN in its 14 years in the Philippine soil. We would like
to express our heartfelt gratitude to our CEO who has made all these possible for
us. With his strong leadership, our future here is guaranteed.
There is no better time than now for our valued distributors to become successful
in doing the DXN business. The foundation for success has been strongly built;
the market sentiment is very positive. The rate of growth for the direct selling
industry in the Philippines, at 35% in year 2013 compared to 2012, was the
highest in the world. There are 1.3 million DXN members out of 3.2 million
Filipinos involved in an MLM business. There is a USD 1 billion market sales
for us to share. With all these statistics, we are in a good position to contribute
to the growth of the nation.
I hope you will feel at home in our new headquarters and be proud of being a
DXN member!

Psoriasis and Leprosy
Psoriasis & Leprosy:
mysterious diseases?
Written by Jojo Alcuezar
T
error gripped Pangasinan, Philippines on February 24, 2014 over reports about two
case studies from Villasis and Santa Barbara whose skin were reported to be decaying.
What makes the report frightening is the linkage of the disease to a prophecy by selfproclaimed prophet who said that a highly contagious flesh-eating illness would spread from
Ilocos to the world, which will lead to an apocalyptic doom.
The news immediately went viral on social media creating panic and fear. “Pray for Pangasinan”
trended on Internet, with netizens resorting to faith, all discussing about the alleged “mysterious
disease.”
However, a provincial health officer dispelled the report, clarifying that the first patient from
Santa Barbara was a leper who suffered from an allergic reaction to a drug, while the second
patient from Villasis is ailed with psoriasis.
What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder. It
is not contagious. In some cases, it runs in families
(inherited in genes). Health experts believe that
psoriasis is a malfunction of the immune system.
Instead of normally protecting the body against
diseases, the immune system of an individual with
psoriasis mistakes a normal skin cell for a pathogen
(an infectious agent) and sends out faulty signals
that cause overproduction of new skin cells. This
promotes inflammation and red papules that merge
together into plaques of thickened, scaling skin.
The T cells, a type of white blood cells, are growing
uncontrollably and attacking the afflicted skin area.
Although it commonly affects the skin of the elbows,
knees, lower back, and scalp, psoriasis can occur
on any part of the body. Psoriasis can be fatal if the
inflammation becomes extreme as it will disrupt the
body’s ability to perform barrier functions and to
regulate temperature. In some cases, psoriasis can be
disfiguring and disabling.
Psoriasis can be influenced by certain environmental
triggers. It can be triggered or worsen (if you already
have it) by the following factors: cigarette smoking,
excessive alcohol consumption, stress, lack of sleep,
obesity, changes in season and climate, chronic
infections, dry skin, certain anti-inflammatory
medicines, high blood pressure drugs or certain
medicines for mental illness.
How is psoriasis treated?
Psoriasis is a challenge to treat due to its recurring nature. Your treatment
options may depend on the severity of your psoriasis. For mild cases,
treatment begins with skin care: keeping your skin moist with cream,
lotions, bath soaps, ointments, shampoo (for the scalp area) or any other
medicines prescribed by your doctor. Treating severe form of psoriasis
usually involves a combination of treatment strategies. To find what works
for you consult a doctor.
Natural treatment options
Studies suggest that there are natural remedies that may help relieve
psoriasis. These include proper diet, exercise, sufficient sunlight, enough
sleep, stress management, taking daily baths, avoiding excessive alcohol
consumption, quitting cigarette smoking, and taking supplements.
Talk to your doctor first before taking any alternative remedy for your
psoriasis. Though complementary therapies are safe, some of them can
cause dangerous interactions with your medications.

What is leprosy?
Leprosy is an infectious disease that has affected
humanity since biblical times. It causes severe,
disfiguring skin sores and nerve damage in the
arms and legs. Contrary to the old beliefs though,
leprosy is actually not that contagious. You can
catch leprosy only if you come into close and
prolonged contact with someone infected with
the disease. The germs can enter your body
through your nose and possibly through broken
skin. Children are more vulnerable than adults.
People living in dirty surroundings, consuming
contaminated water, eating insufficient diet, or
having a compromised immune system are at high
risk of contracting leprosy.
Ganozhi Massage Oil
Not just an ordinary massage oil, Gonozhi
Massage oil may also help to restore the healthy

contains the finest palm oil and Ganoderma
extract suited not only for every massage need,
but also to nourish your skin inside and out. It is
all-natural and rich in antioxidants.
Ganozhi Massage Oil is suitable for all ages
and skin types.
How is leprosy treated?
Leprosy is curable if treated early before tissue damage occurs. Treatment can
be made through a number of different antibiotics for six months to two years.
It is no longer infectious once treatment has begun.
How can leprosy be prevented?
Avoid close physical contact with untreated people. Leprosy can be transmitted
via droplets from the nose and mouth of an infected person. The early
diagnosis and treatment can be very helpful. Leprosy can also be contracted
from contaminated clothes, thus buying second-hand clothes (ukay-ukay) is
not a good idea. Drinking plenty of water helps the body eliminate the toxins
produced by the leprosy-causing bacteria. Maintaining personal hygiene and
general cleanliness plus proper diet may offer some protection against leprosy.
An impaired immune function can pose risks to your health. Various influences,
such as nutrient deficiency, inadequate sleep, excessive alcohol intake, cigarette
smoking, emotional stress, chemical exposure, different types of radiation,
infections, certain drugs, aging, blood transfusions and surgery can diminish
your immune performance. Fortunately, it is possible to strengthen your immune
system using natural agents.

Skin Care Tips
beautiful you
Written by Jojo Alcuezar
Proper skin care can keep your skin healthy, help hold off premature aging and prevent various skin problems.
Here are some beauty and healthy skin tips:
1 Protect yourself from the sun
Over exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause
wrinkles, age spots or blotches of darker skin color that are
common on the face and hands, other skin problems, eye
damage, immune system suppression, and skin cancer.
To protect yourself and your family:
Avoid too much sun exposure
• Seek shade when the sun’s rays are
hottest, usually between 10 a.m. and
4 p.m.
• When you are outdoors, wear
protective gears like long-sleeved
shirts, long pants and hat.
• Ultraviolet (UV) radiation can penetrate through the
clouds and glass windows, so use sunscreen — a lotion,
cream or other topical product that is used to absorb or
reflect some of the sun’s UV radiation on the skin exposed
to sunlight.
• Babies are much more vulnerable than adults because
they have thinner skin and underdeveloped melanin that
will protect them from the harmful rays of the sun. But
sunscreen is not advisable for infants, thus they must not
be exposed too long under the sun.
2 Manage stress
Too much stress has an effect on
your skin, causing it to become
rigid and poor complexion.
Experts believe that stressful
event can trigger the autoimmune
reaction, which increase the skin’s oil production, making
you prone to pimples. To encourage a healthy skin try to
manage your stress.
3 Get enough sleep
If you lack sleep your skin ages faster.
During the day, your skin is busy repairing
all the damage it incurred from sun, free
radicals, and pollution. At night, your skin
goes into renewal mode. When you don’t
get enough sleep, your skin doesn’t have
the chance to recharge — a natural process that’s necessary
for skin health.
4 Don’t smoke
Cigarette smoking is one sure
way to make yourself look older.
Smoking can reduce athletic
ability. It can disrupt blood flow
and it lessens your skin’s supply
of oxygen, nutrients, collagen and elastin — the elements
that give your skin its health, strength, and elasticity. Aside
from adversely affecting your fertility, heart, lungs, eyes,
hair, and bones, smoking can also stain your teeth and nails.
Researchers suggest that smokers have a greater risk of
developing psoriasis — a common chronic, inflammatory
skin disease characterized by scaly patches.
drink too much
5 Don’t
alcohol
While moderate drinking (1 glass
a day) has some health benefits,
excessive alcohol intake can be
detrimental to your health and your
skin. This includes premature aging
and dehydration. Too much alcohol can adversely affect your
vitamin A level, a powerful antioxidant that is vital in the
reproduction of collagen (a substance which keeps your skin
fresh and young looking).
Too much alcohol consumption can dehydrate you and will
decrease important body nutrients, making your skin looks
dry, dull, and patchy. Heavy drinking may also worsen skin
conditions, such as rosacea and psoriasis, if you have them
already.

Skin Care Tips
from page 7
6 Don’t over-wash your face
Too much washing can strip your skin of
moisture and natural oils that protect against
wrinkles. Avoid strong soaps as these can
take away your skin’s natural protection.
Use natural soaps that are gentle on your
skin. You should also limit bath time. If you
have dry skin, use a moisturizer. Be careful
not to over-moisturize; this can clog pores.
7 Eat a balanced diet
A healthy diet can help promote younger looking skin. Experts
believe that foods that are good for your inner health are also
good for your skin, thus eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and
lean proteins.
Vitamins A, C, D, and E; zinc;
selenium; antioxidants; omega-3
fatty acids; and enzymes help
regulate your skin cycle. However,
taking these stuff in large amounts
(more than the daily recommended
value) could lead to toxicity, thus consult your
dermatologist for your body requirements.
Water. Drinking enough water is also good
to your skin. Water is essential for skin
metabolism and regeneration. It helps hydrate
your body and helps clear away toxins, which
can cause skin problems. Staying properly
hydrated can smooth out wrinkles, causing
your skin to appear smoother and younger.
However, too much water intake can flush
out electrolytes (potassium, calcium, sodium),
which can lead to serious illness. Too much
water can also dilute your blood and put
yourself at risk for seizures. Six to eight
glasses of water per day is sufficient.
Cocoa. The flavonols antioxidants
in chocolate can stimulate your
metabolism to burn fat and calories.
Chocolate can improve blood flow and
can help you achieve smoother skin and
protect against sun damage.
There is no substitute for these effective tips, but there are
products that work in tandem with and boost the natural skin
care process.

Success Story
Success Story of SCD Flordeliza ‘Babes’ Acosta
Babes Acosta
— the Coffee Lover!
Written by Jojo Alcuezar
narrates. “I only chose people who are
willing to do the business; and have to
motivate them and make sure that all
of them were pulling towards the same
direction.”
“I’ve been involved in different
kinds of networking businesses
in the past few years, but
failed to make it big, thus I
already lost interest. However,
when somebody had offered
me the DXN MLM business
opportunity, I joined because I
love to drink coffee so much,”
says Babes Acosta.
Babe Acosta’s efforts have borne fruit.
After a year of painstakingly doing the
DXN business she finally earned her
first P100,000.00 bonus check! “When
you believe in what you are doing, and
never quit, you will get positive results,”
she beams. “Doing the DXN business is
indeed very difficult, but if you are happy
in what you’re doing, you won’t focus on
the difficult sides and you will have had
more success than you could possibly
have imagined.”
Now Senior Crown Diamond Flordeliza
“Babes” Acosta also enjoys free travel
in many parts of the world (courtesy of
DXN). “Don’t be afraid to make bold
decisions. The risk that you feared to face
may just yield the biggest return,” she
asserts. It is true, indeed, that she wouldn’t
have reached that level of success if she
was afraid to take calculated risks. As
Leo F. Buscaglia, an American author
and motivational speaker, once put it:
“The person who risks nothing, does
nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and
becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering
and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn
and feel and change and grow and love
and live.”
Networking is not easy, it’s not nor
should it be. Don’t expect a lesser or an
easier life. Just make yourself better and
have the courage to do you know what is
morally right. Life becomes easier only
if you are willing to do what’s hard. The
price of success is hard work. MLM is
not a “get rich quick” scheme, but not
a “getting rich slow” either. Success in
DXN MLM business comes to those who
focus on helping others achieve success.
There’s a learning curve and it requires
you to focus and get good at it.
Being a plain housewife herself, Mrs.
Acosta struggled through the first few
months of doing the DXN business. Her
husband was reluctant to support her in
this kind of venture because he didn’t see
any future in this business. So she made
do with the little money she had.
“I was on a very tight budget. As a
beginner, the foremost challenge I faced
was to form a strong team,” Mrs. Acosta

The Brief History
When DXN was established in the Philippines in 1999, the
company occupied quadruple units in the 4th floor of Jollibee Plaza
Condominium in Emerald Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City (road
name Emerald Avenue is later replaced to Don Francisco Ortigas
Avenue) to initially set up offices for sales counter, operations,
marketing, IT, warehouse and executives with small training room
that only manned by few staff.

SM North EDSA, Quezon City
Until in 2001, due to phenomenal increase in the demand of products
that led to impressive growth in sales and recruits, DXN made its
expansion by acquiring additional two office units in the ground
and second floors of the same building to transfer the sales counter
and product distribution in the ground and customer relations and
training room at the second floor. IT, Marketing, Operations, HR and
Administration, and Executive Offices, on the other hand, remain at
the fourth floor.
Eleven years after, DXN’s main office was transferred to the north wing
building of SM North Edsa situated in Barangay Pag-asa I, Quezon
City to purposely cater to more consumers and business prospects
in and around the bustling shopping complex, which mounted with
modernized and sophisticated office equipment, training facilities and
a fair working environment conducive to distributors, prospects and
employees.
The Soft Launch
Announcement of the major action plans of DXN Philippines for 2014
was made in the early part of the year and one of the exciting plans is
the transfer of office to a bigger, better and more strategic commercial
site located in 1498 Quezon Avenue, Barangay South Triangle,
Quezon City.
In mid-February 2014, the plan was realized with operation of DXN’s
new Headquarters and eventually opened for purchase transactions and
the spacious training room at the 3rd floor, which can accommodate
more than 400 seating capacity. The training was opened to all DXN
Distributors via the “soft launch” activity on the first day of March
2014 with the presentation of company updates from each Department
Head spearheaded by DXN Holdings’ Chief Operating Officer and
DXN Philippines’ Country Manager Teoh Hang Ching.

The LED Panel Display
With the structure of historic Headquarters, DXN strengthens and
intensifies its leadership in MLM industry and widens its perspective
in serving and expanding the market.
Apart from the structure of new facilities in the extensive training
room, DXN boasts of the LED (Light-emitting diode) panel installed
at the façade of the building that functions as free advertisement and
promotion of DXN products, upcoming events, and brief corporate
profile.
To date, DXN is the only company found along the Quezon
Avenue in Quezon City with the striking LED display with
actual width of 4.352 meters and height of 2.048 meters,
which runs separately during rush hour in the morning and
evening until 11:00 p.m.
The Philosophy
DXN’s philosophy of providing Low Price, High Quality products and keeping a Low Profile while generating High Income is
appropriate for direct selling. This system is equitably accessible to anyone.
As such, DXN’s free enterprise system has allowed many people to enjoy personal achievements leading to greater financial
independence. At the same time, many have experienced better health through the consumption of products. These factors became
the foundation of success in the direct sales industry.

Luzon and Anna Lavado in Metro Manila) in organizing the nationwide
