THE REBEKAH HARKNESS FOUNDATION
The Rebekah Harkness Foundation has organized
HARKNESS YOUTH DANCERS, a new company of
young professionals established to bring the achievements of young choreographers and composers to a wide
new audience in areas where limited theatrical facilities
cannot accommodate larger companies with traveling
orchestra and elaborate scenery. The direct outgrowth
of the Harkness Training and Research Program, the
Youth Dancers, perhaps the world's youngest company,
made their official debut at the Delacorte Theater in
Central Park, New York, a few weeks ago and are now
embarking upon their first tour.
