With the introduction of the rotary cutter, lap-top quilting frames, and machine quilting, this traditional craft evolved in a new direction wall quilts, lap quilts, table runners, bags, clothing many now onsidered "art quilts". I started quilting in the 1980's, and have experimented with many styles and techniques. Some of the techniques I have used are Applique, Stained-glass, Hawaiian applique, Bargello, Stack'n Whack, Landscape, and Foundation piecing. I enjoy learning new techniques, although I still prefer hand applique and hand quilting. Marcia Lee Les Buxton started sketching while serving in the Royal Navy during W.W.
