and when we wear them, they have a
powerful vibratory effect that flows
from the crystals to the individual
who embraces its energy.

Like all other artists who have creativity
in their DNA, Linda was making things
at a young age, starting with clothes for
her Barbie doll. Her doll ended up with
an Elizabethan gown complete with
pearls sewn on the edges.
Linda designed things she needed and
things she wanted, with sewing being
her mainstay. She fell in love with a
necklace in a picture, while chasing
another dream; country and horses.
She set out to make one like it and
started on a whole new journey –
jewellery!

Raised in Sutton, she has settled here
in Bradford to tackle the rest of her
journey and hopes you enjoy the fruits
of her labour.

Her creative
talents and keen
Intellect were
nurtured at school and
home, and as a young, independent
minded woman, her interests led her
on a personal odyssey that included
travel for work and personal
enrichment to places as diverse as
Canada’s remote north, England,
Australia, and China. Along the way
she built up a considerable
knowledge of Asian culture, western
Classical music, martial arts, culinary
arts, and much else.
Marian Leeper was born in Toronto’s
Beach community, but grew up on a
farm near Barrie Ontario. There, as
part of a large and artistically gifted
family, she flourished, surrounded as
she was by rural life and its many
benefits to the imagination.
A mother of four highly gifted adult
children in their own right, and a
certified yoga instructor, she has
lately renewed her interest in
painting and drawing, studying her
art both formally and informally, and
brings her unique perspective,
sensitivity, and diverse experiences
to her subjects.

Some of us remember our
mothers or grandmothers
quilting bed quilts on large
frames, often in groups at
the local church.
With the introduction of the
rotary cutter, lap-top quilting
frames, and machine
quilting, this traditional craft
evolved in a new direction wall quilts, lap quilts, table
runners, bags, clothing many now onsidered "art
quilts".
I started quilting in the
1980's, and have
experimented with many
styles and techniques.
Some of the techniques I
have used are Applique,
Stained-glass, Hawaiian
applique, Bargello, Stack'n
Whack, Landscape, and
Foundation piecing.
I enjoy learning new
techniques, although I still
prefer hand applique and
hand quilting.

Lora has been studying and worked
under the tutelage of well know
Canadian Sculptor, Sandy Cline for
the past four years.
Working in a three dimensional
medium has Lora constantly
watching wildlife in motion in order
to capture the movement of the
creature in stone.
All carvings are bathed in a
beeswax finish to nourish and
protect the stone. This technique
was used by Egyptian sculptors to
preserve soapstone carvings
before being placed in the
Pharaoh's tombs.
Lora is constantly acquiring and
carving soapstone from all over the
world as each area's stone has
unique characteristics
