Joseph Salerno will be doing time and is expected to be arrested by local authorities on November 6. He is being challenged to raise $2,000.00 for Muscular Dystrophy and will be released once he has met bail. To help bail the poor Padre out, you can place an envelope in the collection basket with MD Bail marked on it. A parade on November 5th will culminate with a ceremony where the Flags will be on display. The cost to sponsor a flag in memory or honor of a loved one is $35.00 Proceeds will support veteran’s programs in the area OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHOIR To perform at Greater Utica Choir Festival Don’t forget today at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church,1605 Genesee St. Utica. Choirs from around the greater Utica area will provide an afternoon of choral music. Our own Our Lady of Lourdes Choir will be one of the nine choirs performing on this occasion. Please come and join us for a wonderful afternoon of music. The concert is free and open to all. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION At Fatima Our Lady identified herself by saying “I am the Lady of the Rosary.” St. Padre Pio called the Rosary his weapon. St. Therese of the Little Flower said that each Hail Mary goes up like incense whose smoking spirals are all alike. The memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary was celebrated on Friday, October 7th. Please join us to say the Rosary in the Seton Center Chapel weekdays following the 8:00 am Mass and consider joining Eucharistic Adoration. We are still short of our assessment by almost $8,500.00. We would like to try to fill this gap by the end of the month. We ask that you be as generous as possible on Sunday October 16th to help us reach this goal. This will be a good opportunity for those who would like to make an anonymous contribution to do so. Together this goal is within reach. Thank you in advance for your generosity. WEEKDAY MASS 8:00 am Weekday Masses will continue to be celebrated in the Seton Chapel until further notice while construction is underway of the new Handicapped Restrooms. OTHER COLLECTIONS The collection for Respect Life generated an additional $58.00 for a total of $1,067.00. Thea Bowman has received 236 food items, 4 pkg. Diapers and personal care items. 1 backpack, 10 pairs of gloves, 9 hats, and 2 blankets in addition to the Peanut Butter to Church monies given at the beginning of the month.
