Every 4 to 6 weeks, the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy organises an AUSTRIAN BUSINESS CIRCLE to provide a platform for the Austrian companies to network and exchange news and information amongst themselves. Usually a prominent guest speaker gives a short presentation to provide some “food for the mind and food for discussion”. Previous guest speakers include several Serbian Ministers, Governors of the National bank, Olympic and World Champions etc. The Austrian Business Circle is a closed event. Its members are only Austrian companies and Serbian business partners of Austrian companies. The Austrian Business Circle does not charge membership or evening fees, which makes it a more “exclusive” club than other associations. The events are financed by the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy together with sponsors, usually an Austrian company, which presents itself in front of the Austrian community. Presentation room and cocktail room The Austrian Business Circle is divided into two parts: Presentation of the sponsor and of the guest speaker in a seated presentation room afterwards cocktail (standing) to allow networking Length of presentation The length of the presentation should not exceed 10-15 minutes. Language The Austrian Business Circle is not an “Österreicherverein”, the target group being both Austrian company representatives as well as Serbian business partners of Austrian companies as well as Serbian representatives of Austrian companies. As a common language therefore English is used for presentations and speeches.
