The joy of living, achievement and performance, health and the conveyance of values such as tolerance, fair play and team spirit – these are all elements reflected in club sports. Furthermore, the possibilities of participation in activities of civil society motivate many people to get engaged in the work of sports clubs. In this way organized sport is one of the largest organizations which offers education in German civil society.
