Dear Friends,
State Parks
>> The New Hampshire State Parks System has 92
properties with a variety of natural, recreational and
historical opportunities. A few of these properties have
been listed to help you get started discovering what
New Hampshire's state parks have to offer.
New Hampshire State Parks open the door for year-round
activity. Trek or ride along winding trails where fresh air and
solitude are your companions. Glide along our lakes, ponds
and rivers in a canoe or kayak. Swim in the clear, cool water
at one of our sandy beaches. Camp under the stars or picnic
beneath a canopy of shady trees. Take a journey through
time exploring our historic sites. Snowshoe, snowmobile,
Nordic or alpine ski on miles of maintained trails. Enjoy the
beauty and recreational opportunities of New Hampshire
State Parks. Join us as stewards of these natural wonders
and help us to preserve them for future generations.
As Governor of the State
of New Hampshire, it is my
pleasure to invite you to
discover all that our many
state parks have to offer.
New Hampshire’s parks have
it all – majestic mountains,
sparkling lakes, rivers and
beautiful beaches.
First Lady Susan Lynch and Gov. John H. Lynch.
In the following pages, you’ll get a glimpse of just some of
the many activities our state parks have to offer: skiing, hiking,
swimming, kayaking or fishing in our pristine natural waters.
You’re sure to find something for every member of your group
to enjoy in New Hampshire’s state parks.
I know that once you discover our wonderful state parks, you’ll
want to visit again and again.
Sincerely,
John H. Lynch
Governor

who served in office from 1741 to
1767. The 40-room mansion is one
of the most outstanding homes
remaining of the Colonial era. Its
