EWD-900-HDTC (Half Duplex Data Transceiver) Module
The EWD-900-HDTC is an embedded wireless module for unlicensed operation in the United States and around
the world. The EWD-900-HDTC is a fully integrated half duplex wireless FSK data transceiver is suitable for the
United States (902-928MHz) or United Kingdom (868MHz). The basic design of the transceiver can be scaled from
300MHz to 1GHz, allowing operation in countries around the world.
The transceiver contains built-in data encoding and decoding, simplifying the interface and software of the host
microcontroller. It can send and receive data using either Manchester encoding or un-encoded from a UART.
RK-900-HDTC RAD (Rapid Development) Kit
The RAD (Rapid Development) Kit contains 2 RAD boards, 4 EWD-900-HDT modules, 2 serial cables, 2 wall
transformers and documentary/software CD. The RAD board can function as a wireless modem for transparent
wireless communication between two PC’s. It can also operate in evaluation mode to support range testing. Kit
comes programmed with firmware that allows the boards to be operated in two different modes: Program Mode and
Wireless Link Mode.

The EWM-900-FDTC is the first modular RF product in the world to completely encapsulate a 900 MHz full-duplex
audio/data transceiver into a single hybrid component. These revolutionary embedded wireless modules™ allow any
engineer to design wireless products. The only external RF component required is an antenna. No production tuning
adjustments are required. No RF experience or special test equipment is needed.
EWM-900-FDTC RAD (Rapid Development) Kit
The RAD kit contains 2 RAD boards,
2 EWM-900-FDTC-BS module, 2 EWM-900-FDTC-HS module, (4) AAA batteries, and documentation/ software CD.
This kit is battery powered and can be used for stand-alone development or with a laptop for development and range
testing. Special software allows the designer to manipulate the control register bits, perform BER testing, and monitor
local and remote RSSI levels.
