HISTORY.
“The final product is directed at consumers who like food
refined and strongly characterized by the specificity of a
territorial nature and organoleptic also interested in new
flavor combinations and new sensory experiences based on
eggplant. Therefore our customers prefer gourmet shops,
delicatessens and more generally, specialty foods and typical
products.”
The skills and experience of many generations in the cultivation of eggplant
have resulted in the creation of the company, present in the sector since the
early ’80. The coastal area of the province of Ragusa is known for the cultivation
of vegetables. The special microclimate and the specific characteristics of the
soil are the ideal conditions to obtain the highest quality product. A strong
need to create a company specialized in the production and transformation of
eggplant, leads in 2011 to the foundation of “Gold Green”. With the merger
of production skills and the input of the new generation we have achieved
excellent results.
In 1980 the company was founded by the first partner, an expert of the
cultivation techniques of eggplant. A few years later comes a guy who,
fascinated by this universe, is accompanied in the discovery of the secrets of this
little-known product in its extraordinary nature. The young man joined him to
become a partner and head of production.
The evolution and growth of the organization, lead to the establishment of the
Gold Green that in the paradigm “tradition-innovation” sees the completion of
the company’s structure through the contribution of two other young members,
all actively involved in the company’s growth.
The results of the cultivation and processing of eggplant have led to a
recognition by the the national market.
The Gold Green brand is appreciated as a synonym for quality, tradition and
reliability and therefore becomes a qualified supplier for domestic and foreign
retail chains.
The results achieved lead the company to a constant and structured growth
which is also manifested through the acquisition of new areas of cultivation.
The foundations of this evolution can be found in the mission, the vision
and especially in the values of their founders. With the same logic we
manage innovation and development processes. These have led the company
management to invent the line of preserved Verdòro produced entirely with
our eggplant. Only the best products, resulting from the cultivations and
ingredients of our region, are processed in a traditional way to give birth to our
preserves. The quality of the raw material characterizes the specificity of our
production, which according to tradition finds in the search for new tastes and
new combinations a constant source of sensory experiences.

Our products are mainly made with eggplant. The reason is more than obvious,
since we grow more than 10 hectares in the coastal strip of the province of
Ragusa, in Punta Secca, a small village in the countryside of Santa Croce Camerina.
Our productions see the sea,
they breathe the breeze and grow
thanks to the Sicilian sun.
Our eight references are rich in flavor and artfully prepared with traditional
recipes. Made with simple ingredients in harmony with nature and culture of Sicily.
The ingredients that make up the preserves come from our land.
Our celery and onion give fragrance to our Caponata delicate.
The passion for the eggplant and the richness of its beneficial properties guide us
in testing new recipes. These products are appreciated by the market and find a
place in the kitchens of the most demanding chefs attentive to
gastronomic innovation.
