INTERNAL SHUTTERS
Boardwalk offers the complete range of internal
shutters, from economical Newhaven Shutters
for the budget conscious, through to our to
sophisticated Cedar Shutters for those looking
for a more traditional look.
We present all our shutters evenly, and it will be
your window sizes, design ideas and how you intend
to use the shutters on a daily basis that will help
determine the right product for you.
For example, some of the materials are capable of
wider spans than others. There are some materials
better suited to wet areas, whilst other products in
our range can be custom painted from the Dulux
Range to suit existing decor. Selecting the right
shutters is best decided in your home with one of
experienced sales staff and we offer an obligation
free measure and quote service.
The materials we offer have been in our range and
the Australian market for many years and are well
trusted and proven performers. We have completed
thousands of installations in homes, business, hotels
and resorts around Western Australia and beyond,
and we are very proud of our track record and
reputation. All our internal shutters are custom
manufactured and imported from well established
suppliers using reputable material sources.

Newhaven Range
Made using an extruded PVC, the Newhaven Range is the
ideal product for bathrooms and wet areas, or where water/
moisture may be an issue. As a price point product, the
Newhaven Range is also ideal to use throughout the house.
To reduce the weight of the product and to provide added
stability in the absence of a grain, aluminium louvre inserts
are used in wider panels. Vertical stability is also provided
with aluminium reinforcing in each side of the panel.
This range also offers the option of an interlocking
blade design that provides reduced light penetration and
additional privacy. (Available in White only and at extra
cost to standard Newhaven Range).

Villa Shutters
Covering all design options, our Villa Range is available
with stained or painted finishes in a wide range of framing
options. Manufactured using Basswood louvre blades and
selected hardwoods for the framing, the timber is twice
Kiln dried to best suit our climate therefore providing
added longevity. Our Villa panels are assembled using
mortise and tenon joins, then glued and screwed for
additional strength. This panel structure, plus the light
weight nature of the timber allows for wider panel spans
than our Newhaven Range.

Aero Screens & Gates – Fixed Blades
Using Aluminium Elliptical or Aerofoil Blades, Boardwalk
Fixed Blade Aero Screens are a very stylish way of providing
privacy, whilst maintaining the ‘shutter look’. Our solid
powdercoat colours are welded into the frames and are
also available as a gate.
Aero Screens can be used for a wide range of
applications including infill panels, pedestrian and
driveway gates, along with cantilevered sun awnings
to beat the heat in Perth’s summer.

Boxed Screens
Fully Welded Frames provide an enhanced appearance
over traditional frameless screen systems, whilst providing
added support and structure for larger areas. When used in
conjunction with a welded gate, a more seamless transition
across the products also allows for a neater finish.
All frames are TIG welded, providing a robust and
quality join that is stronger than the original material.
The importance of this is apparent when used together
with larger swinging gates, where other methods of frame
joins or poor quality welds will quickly show their age.
Frame sizes will depend on the span of the product
and structural requirements.

PEDESTRIAN GATES
General Access and Pedestrian Gates
Utilising Boxed Screens and Aero Screen products, our
pedestrian gates can allow side access to a property or to
secure a front yard.
Quality is paramount, and Boardwalk uses trusted hardware
and fixings to ensure longevity across all our products. All
our gate frames are welded, which given the repeated open
and close nature of a gate will provide a more stable gate
than screw together gate systems.
Options of Auto Release, Service Key (for access to
meter boxes etc), push button and ‘like’ keys options
are all available.
Most of our gates can be made Swimming Pool and
Council Compliant when required, please make clear all
these requirements onsite with our Sales Staff. Placing an
order for selected screens is confirmation you are aware of
all legislative and by-law requirements.

We specialise in gates for vehicles, boat & trailer,
driveway and car park access in either manual
or motorised systems.
Depending on your requirements, our gates may be

Motorisation
Boardwalk proudly uses KINGgate motorised systems
for all sliding and hinged gates. Manual gates can be
motorised at a later date subject to a few changes at
fabrication, so please advise us in writing (in advance)
if you plan on adding a motor at a later date.
KINGgate motors are Italian made, are low maintenance
and offer hassle free operation. Our standard motors
operate using 24 Volt system. (A 240 Volt power source
is required to be made available by the client close to
the motor location prior to installation.)
The factors to consider in the selection of the right
motorised system include the operating cycle of the gates,
and the relationship between the airflow of the gate versus
the wind loading on the motor. We have motors to cover
all scenarios, and also offer a range of accessories
including locks, safety sensors and keypad entry.

CISA ELECTRIC LOCK
When closed this lock holds the gate in a ‘locked’ position rather than rely on
residual pressure from the motor. This device is a requirement in some hinged gate
applications to maintain product warranties. The protective steel case completely
encloses both the lock and striker mechanism.
30 WATT SOLAR PANEL
The installation of a solar panel will eliminate the need for a 240 volt power
supply to the area. The panel charges two batteries for uninterrupted use
even during power outages.
NOVO KEYPAD
This programmable keypad allows external access at the push of a button for
designated users such as family members or staff including cleaners in commercial
situations. Also, provides access for Western Power and other service providers.
Convenient battery operation means that no cabling is needed.
PHOTOCELL SAFETY BEAM
These will act as a safety mechanism with the gate ceasing to operate if the opening
is compromised through the interruption of the beam. Highly recommended for
installation in areas with limited space or where there is likely to be high traffic flow.
