The HelmetSecure™ lock attaches permanently to a round
handlebar, or other suitable bar (cruisers and standards), or
triple clamp stem nut (sportbikes), so you only need to fit it
once. After that, the lock is always available for use, without
having to carry or store it. The lock incorporates an integral,
pre-coiled, steel cable to go through the face of the helmet or
D-ring and back into the lock. If you have the key, you can unbolt the lock from the handlebar. The design makes the bolts
that secure the lock to the handlebar/triple clamp inaccessible
when the cable is locked – so the locking mechanism not only
locks the cable, but also prevents the lock itself from being
removed from the bike. Locking your helmet to the center of
your handlebar or triple clamp means that the helmet rests
high on the bike, away from dirty/hot exhausts, and usually
upright so that rain will not fall into it. Two models available;
the Classic (for cruiser, standard, and touring bikes) and the
Sportbike Lock (for sportbikes).

Oil lubricates the engine as well as the transmission gears. The oils used in these applications must
be extremely stable against shear.
High "Oil Film Retention"
Oil is regularly used under high rpm and high-load conditions. Therefore, the oil viscosity
deteriorates resulting in a shrinking oil film that could cause engine troubles. The oil must maintain

High "Oxidation & Thermal Stability"
Motorsport oil must withstand harsh thermal conditions in order to properly and effectively lubricate

Over the years, oil manufacturers have had to reduce the levels of zinc, phosphorous and other extreme pressure additives, due to the potential harmful effects
they have on component longevity. Under pressure from automakers, they’ve also
added friction modifiers while reducing viscosity grades, to pace increased emission warranty coverage periods. While these modifications have helped to offset
cars’ reduced mpg due to reformulated fuels, they’ve also had the negative effect
of reducing gear and clutch durability and performance of four-stroke motorcycle
engines and transmissions.
Since 1998, the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO) has measured the
quality of four stroke motorcycle engine oil.
Oils that are JASO MA Certified resist clutch
slippage, do not leave ashy deposits and meet
their anti-corrosion and wear standards.
Not All JASO MA Certified Formulations are
Created Equal
All Yamalube motorcycle oils currently meet
or exceed these very important standards for
performance. Look for the JASO MA symbol
on their bottles.
JASO MA is a universal, motorcycle industry oil specification that sets acceptable
limits for things like phosphorous, sulphated ash, and oil volatility. Oil manufacturers need to meet these specifications in order to achieve JASO MA certification.
Unfortunately, in order to meet these specifications, many oil manufacturers will
take an existing oil formulation and modify it just enough to qualify for certification—allowing them to maximize profits.
In sharp contrast, Yamaha engineers start with an engine, look at its performance
demands, measure those against the JASO MA specifications, and formulate an oil
that meets or exceeds all requirements. This ensures Yamalube JASO MA certified
oils provide maximum protection for Yamaha engines, while still meeting JASO
standards. It’s also in the best interest of our customers, who have come to expect
high performance and reliability from Yamaha.

Motorcycles, especially competition bikes, run at high rpm and high temperatures. The last thing you need is oil evaporation endangering the performance
and life of your engine. For critical protection at high temperatures, choose a
low-volatility oil. Volatility refers to an oil’s propensity for evaporation at high
temperatures. The lower an oil’s volatility, the less it evaporates and the better
protection it provides.

Low-Temperature/High-Temperature Viscosity
The first number represents the viscosity at a cold temperature. The "W" means
the oil meets SAE® specifications for winter use. The second number indicates the

The worldwide standard for selecting oil viscosity was

What’s Good for the Environment Can Be Bad for Your Engine.
Ethanol-enriched (E10) fuels help to improve air quality, which is why the federal government
has mandated their increased use. However, unlike fuels of the past, E10 fuels are known to
absorb moisture, either from the air or from standing water in the bottoms of fuel tanks. They
also generate corrosive sulfate salts that can attack metal components in a fuel system,
clogging filters and resulting in other performance issues.
Because of these known weaknesses, E10 fuels require special care and treatment, whether
your engine is in constant use or in storage. The Yamalube Care Products line includes
formulations that help combat the harmful side-effects of E10 fuels, ensuring high performance, lower ownership costs and a long life for your Yamaha.
Yamalube has used different American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM®) tests that simulate
