Bulletin
The workshop will take place at the Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the National
Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). Plenary sessions will be held in the Auditorium "Bruno
Touschek", located in the High Energy building (Bldg. n. 36). Parallel sessions will be held in the
rooms: “Bruno Touschek”, A1, B1, A34 ("Aula Seminari"), B34 - located in the same building "Aula Calcolo" (Bldg. n. 16) and "Aula Conversi" (Bldg. n. 57). Attendees will have at their
disposal a Computer Room (T73).

Logistics
The Frascati Laboratories are located in Via Enrico Fermi 40.
Reaching the Laboratories from Fiumicino airport:
1. by taxi: the cost to Frascati is about 70 €.
2. by train : from Fiumicino there are trains (Leonardo Express) to Rome
Termini station (every 30 min.), and from there trains to the Laboratories or to the
town of Frascati. Tickets from Fiumicino to Rome Termini have to be purchased at the
Fiumicino train station (walking from the air terminal) and cost 14 €.
a. Trains from Termini Station to the Laboratories: they are on the line to Cassino
or Frosinone and you have to get off at the station of TOR VERGATA, second
stop after you leave Rome Termini, ticket is 1.80 € to be purchased at newspaper
stands.
b. After you get off the train, at TOR VERGATA, walk out and go uphill about 200
meters, until you reach the Laboratory gate (bldg. No. 31) , tell the guards you are
a participant of the Workshop and they will direct you to the EDIFICIO ALTE
ENERGIE, Aula Touschek.
c. If you take the Rome-Frascati train, then you will need a taxi to reach the
Laboratories. Taxi cost is about 20 €.

Bus transportation
During the Workshop a shuttle service to and from the Laboratories will be provided. People
staying in the hotels downtown may take the workshop bus (Triboli) or the LNF shuttle at the
stop “A” in Piazza Marconi (see Frascati map). People staying in the hotels Flora and Antica
Colonia are encouraged to use the hotel shuttle or they may take the workshop bus at the stop B
and C.

INFN/ENEA Bus
There is a free bus service (INFN/ENEA) from Rome to LNF only during working days, from
Monday to Friday.

Registration
Participants are invited to show up at the registration desk located near the Touschek
Auditorium (room T75) on Monday 4th, h. 10:00. Registration fee is 120,00 €. Cocktail
dinner fee is 40,00 €.
Lunches
Lunches will be held at the ENEA canteen, located in front of the LNF, on the other side of Via
Enrico Fermi. Participants must collect the lunch tickets at the registration desk.
Social Events
A standing Cocktail Dinner will be held on Tuesday 5th at Park Hotel Villa Grazioli,
located in Grottaferrata, Via Umberto Pavoni, 19. Cost per person is 40,00 € to be paid at the
registration desk. During the cocktail it will be possibile to do a guided tour of the villa.
Internet Access
Participants will have at their disposal a Computer Room (n. T73). Wireless ethernet
connectivity is also available (standard IEEE 802.11b).
To access the LNF network and connect to Internet, participants must authenticate with a
username and a password. In order to get such credentials, non-INFN participants should submit
a request before coming to Frascati, otherwise we cannot guarantee to provide the internet access
in short time. The request can be done by filling out a form, available on the workshop web site.
Username and password will be sent to your email address.
INFN participants will be able to connect by using their INFN certificate or the username and
password used to access the network at their INFN Division.
Speakers
Speakers for their presentations will use a PC and a projector. Apple users must provide a pdf
version and /or check the compatibility of their talk with a PC. PDF format is preferred.
PowerPoint 2003 format is also accepted (PP2007 and PP2010 files should be converted).
Speakers may upload their talks directly on the Indico agenda. Otherwise files must be stored on
a device like a usb-drive from where they will be transferred directly on the PC for the
presentation.
