Day 1 (569km) Overnight in the Dijon area of France.
Day 2 (496km) Arrive for two nights at the 4 star Romantik Hotel Furno, a
beautiful and lovingly restored Italian farmhouse, which is located just outside of
Turin. Enjoy a welcome drink on the attractive terrace and evening meal in the hotel.

Day 3 Full day in the beautiful city of Turin. Visit the fabulous Palaces and
admire the stunning architecture. Try one of Turin’s excellent ice creams... the
city is famous for ‘gianduia’ (a mix between chocolate and coffee).

Day 4 (389km) Drive down the A26 to the coast and hug the stunning Italian Riviera.
Frascati 3
Arrive in the stylish seafront Riviera resort of Santa Margherita, with free
time for lunch in one of the stylish cafes overlooking the Mediterranean
sea. Continue on this scenic coastal route down to Tuscany and arrive in the lovely leafy spa town of
Montecatini Terme where we check in at the elegant 4 star Ercolini e Savi Hotel for two nights.
Day 5 (50km) Full day at leisure in historic Florence by train (train cost not included) with a half day walking
tour. One of the most attractive and compact Italian cities of art, Florence is a joy to explore on foot. Visit the
Uffizi Gallery, wander through the leather markets, or shop for jewellery on the unique and pretty ‘Ponte Vecchio’.

Day 6 (345km) After a leisurely breakfast drive south with a late morning stop and free time for lunch in the
stunning hilltop Umbrian medieval town of Orvieto, whose cathedral’s facade depicts various stories from the
Bible. During the afternoon continue on to Rome and the Frascati hills, arriving at the welcoming 4 star
Villa Vecchia (an ex-Convent, located in the Frascati countryside) for the next three nights.
Day 7 (25km) Full day in Rome with a half day guided city tour. Visit the Colosseum, wander
through the Roman Forum, shop around the Spanish Steps and marvel at the Vatican. Don’t forget
to throw a coin into the Trevi Fountains to ensure your return!

Day 8 (14km) After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a morning visit to the Papal summer residence of
Castelgandolfo in the Frascati hills. Light lunch with wine tasting at the superb winery of Cantina
Santa Benedetta followed by time at leisure in Frascati itself
during the afternoon.
Day 9 (403km) Depart Frascati and drive north to the lovely
red brick hill top town of Citta della Pieve in Umbria, with a
blow out lunch at Trattoria da Bruno (unlimited wine), from
there cross the appenines and with a scenic drive up to the
very Italian gastronomic capital of Bologna. Stay one night at the

the late afternoon/evening at your leisure and enjoy one of the many
local delicacies this vibrant city has to offer.
Day 10 (150km) Leave Bologna and enjoy a morning visit to the Ferrari museum in
Maranello, where you will learn about the fascinating history of this unique car. Drive north to
Venice, where you will stay at the conveniently located 4 star Delfino or Ambasciatori (Mestre).
Day 11 A 10 minute bus ride from your hotel allows you a full day at leisure in timeless
Venice...explore the canals, shop at the Rialto, sip a cappuccino in St. Mark’s, visit the Doges
Palace...the choice is yours… (we recommend this is the driver's day off).
Day 12 (489km) After breakfast drive north and overnight in the area of Hergiswil.
Day 13 (401km) Enjoy your last night of this tour in the area of Metz before your journey
back to the UK.
