ANNIVERSARY TOURS
2014 – The year of the anniversary
World War I
2014 will be a year to commemorate
many famous battlefield campaigns
and actions.
We have a great selection of tours honouring the heroic feats and acts
of sacrifice made by soldiers during World War I. These soldiers were
dedicated and willing to give their all in the pursuit of freedom.

The Allied invasion of Normandy
signalled the beginning of the
end of the war in Western Europe
and on this momentous 70th
Anniversary we will be travelling
to Normandy to attend the major
commemorations there. Very little of
the programme has been announced
at present but it will be the last time
a significant number of veterans
will attend, making it all the more
special.
Day 1 Local departure by coach
then to Normandy for a three-night
stay.
Day 2 & Day 3 Our provisional
itinerary for this tour is planned to
attend major ceremonies on 6th June.
These ceremonies are likely to be at
Arromanches and Bayeux; in previous
years there has been a military vehicle
display on the beach at Arromanches
along with a veterans parade.
The Royal British Legion also organise
a ceremony at Bayeux War Cemetery.
We will visit some key sites connected
with D-Day including Sword, Juno
and Gold beaches, as well as Pegasus
