Service days: Monday through Friday. www.seniorsfirst.org SOUTH PLACER TRANSIT INFORMATION TRANSIT CONNECTIONS MAP FUNDED BY: Published Fall 2013 TRANSIT CONNECTIONS IN SOUTH PLACER COUNTY Services offered: Inter-community fixed-route; deviated fixed-route; Dial-A-Ride; Placer Commuter Express SERVICE PROVIDERS PLACER COUNTY TRANSIT TICKETS & PASSES There are three types of specialized transportation programs in south Placer County. Dial-A-Ride is a shared-ride service that operates on a demand-response basis, while deviated fixed-route services follow a scheduled route but can travel off the route upon request. Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services provide rides to and from scheduled medical appointments when other transportation is not available. Placer County Transit, Roseville Transit, and Lincoln Transit all offer Dial-A-Ride services, while Health Express provides NEMT service. Auburn Transit and Placer County Transit’s Taylor Road Shuttle offer deviated fixed-route service for the general public. BASE FARES: ADVANCED PURCHASE: All passengers pay the regular base fare unless eligible for a discount fare. There are different base fares for local, commuter, and Dial-A-Ride services, so check with each individual transit operator for the most current fare information. For your convenience, multi-ride tickets and passes for each operator can be purchased in advance. Passes are sold in quantities ranging from 10 to 40 rides (depending on the operator), by the month, or for a set number of days (e.g., 30-day pass). When calling to make a Dial-A-Ride or NEMT reservation or request a deviated fixed-route pick-up, please have the following information ready: - Your name - Whether you will be bringing an accompanying passenger - Phone number - Home address - Pick-up address - Desired pick-up time and appointment time (if applicable) - Desired destination address - Mobility needs (for example, if you use a walker, wheelchair, scooter, etc.) - Return trip pick-up time Eligibility requirements as well as hours of operation, service areas, and wait-time protocols may vary by operator. COMMUTER INFO Placer Commuter Express www.placer.ca.gov/transit Placer Commuter Express (PCE) provides weekday peak-hour service to and from downtown Sacramento. PCE operates along the I-80 corridor with stops in Colfax, Clipper Gap, Auburn, Penryn, Loomis, Rocklin, and Roseville. Roseville Transit www.roseville.ca.us/transit Roseville Transit’s Commuter Service provides weekday peak-hour routes to and from downtown Sacramento. Bus stops are located throughout Roseville. Reverse Commuter service is available on select routes. Capitol Corridor www.capitolcorridor.org The Capitol Corridor intercity passenger train runs along the 170-mile corridor between the Sacramento area and San Jose, stopping at 16 stations in eight counties.
