Malpractice claims are a very real risk for law firms today. CNA claim
statistics indicate that more than 50% of these claims arise from common
practice areas, such as representations in business transactions, personal
injury and business litigation, and real estate closings.
CNA has developed a seminar that helps lawyers analyze the attendant risks
of common client services and considers both ethical obligations to clients
and practical means of managing risk during the representation. Since
1990, CNA has been an industry leader in training lawyers on preventing
malpractice claims, presenting more than 1,000 seminars nationwide.
“The Competitive Edge” seminar has been approved for 3.00 hours of CLE
and qualifies you for up to 7.5% credit on CNA professional liability insurance
premium for two years.
You do NOT have to be a CNA policy holder to attend this seminar!
G. Spence Fricke has been an Attorney with Barber Law Firm in Little Rock since 1982 where
his primary concentration is professional liability and personal injury defense litigation. He is a
frequent speaker on topics related to legal ethics and legal malpractice risk management. Mr.
Fricke has been teaching the CNA Risk Management seminars for many years with
outstanding ratings. He is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association and Arkansas
Association of Defense Counsel among others. Spence was voted "Best Lawyers' Lawyer of
the Year 2012, for Personal Injury Litigation.
Robert L. "Skip" Henry, III has been a member of the Barber Law Firm since 1972 where his
primary focus is civil litigation and professional liability defense. He is a former president of the
Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and Little Rock School Board. He too has been
speaking at the CNA loss control seminars for many years with rave reviews. He is a member
of the Pulaski County Bar Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel
among others. Skip has been listed among "The Best Lawyers in America" and also is a
Retired JAG officer in the United States Army Reserve.
