1. Pet Food Tester
Yes, it's a thing, and yes it's totally strange. But as the owner of pet food company Huds and
Toke, Mark Gooley, says, "If you don’t put it in your mouth, how do you expect your dog to
eat it?" Mr Gooley eats dog food for a living. He eats everything from doggie treats and chewy
bones to liver mixture.
2. Gumologist
A lot of hard work goes into creating the perfect piece of chewing gum. Just ask Jesse Kiefer,
who works as a Gumologist for Cadbury Schweppes. Kiefer chews more than a hundred
chewing gums a week. He has to get the flavour just right, which he says isn't easy.
3. Waterslide Tester
On a hot summer Monday morning you definitely want to go working if you do this job. All
you have to do is slipping down water slides a lot of times during the days. Water slides are
usually in big theme parks. Imagine getting to spend your lunch break on a rollercoaster, and
eating a hot dog for lunch.
4. Teddy Bear Repair Technician
Kids get really emotional about their toys. Do you remember when your favourite toy lost an
arm or became dirty? You were sad, weren’t you. But now there's a special technician who can
come to the rescue. The Build-A-Bear Workshops have a Teddy Bear Repair Technician who
is hired to repair those much-loved teddy bears.
5. Snake Milker
Snake venom is very powerful. People can make medicine from it. They can also use it against
poisonous snake bit. The venom is collected by hand. They carefully squeeze out the deadly
juices. “I love my job but I know that any minute a snake could kill me,” Alabama snake milker
Ken Darnell says.
