CASE STUDY TAMBA RESTAURANT, UAE Tamba,is a home-grown Indian-inspired restaurant, will open in The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi this spring. The restaurant will be on the sixth floor, above Jazz@PizzaExpress and will be licensed. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows; an elevated show kitchen; a chef’s table; exposed Tandoor ovens; a resident DJ and a rooftop terrace. The menu includes bites such as soft shell crab pakora; khichdi of mushroom and truffle with raspberry pickle; sweet and sour pumpkin and spinach paratha; and masala rub Wagyu with chilli chutney. “Collaborating with globally renowned design, food and beverage experts, this impressive international concept will provide elegance, energy and a sense of the unexpected” www.yourfoodmag.com tambarestaurant.com CASE STUDY - Tamba Restaurant, UAE 1/2 the challenge - wine display Iglu was asked to create and develop some Mirabilia Bespoke units to showcase better the bottles and to to allow the staff to serve the clientele of one of the top Indian restaurant in Abu Dhabi. This project had something quiet different from any other wine display design: the two units in fact supposed to be hung to the ceilings. The technical compartment therefore has been built to be hidden on the false ceiling and it was manufactured properly to be fixed on the concrete roof. SPACE & PERFORMANCES Iglu manufactured the desired exact dimensions and temperature set of two refrigerated units needed by Tamba Restaurant. • 1 unit 1620x895x2200 mm with doors on both sides; • 2 unit 2340x835x2200 mm with doors on both sides; • temperature set: +6°C / +18°C • rounded handles FINISHING & LIGHTING CASE STUDY - Tamba Restaurant, UAE • A specific RAL was provided by the client: RAL 9004 - to match the ambience tones. • both units are accessoried with dimmable led lights • mirror finish inside performs the “never empty” effect • rod handles painted in bronzed brass finish 2/2
