This annual seminar has discussed many topics related to the issue. This year, we focus on the role of families, schools, and media in maintaining indigenous languages. As we know, due to the great exposure of both foreign languages and the national language, the need for maintaining and exposing the indigenous languages is unavoidable. Government, educational institutions, and society must cooperate to solve the problem. Therefore, in this opportunity, linguists and those interested in the studies of sociolinguistics, stylistics, historical linguistics, ethnography of communication, language ideology or identity, micro-linguistics, applied linguistics, and language teaching need to meet together and discuss the crucial problems in a serious seminar. This seminar will initiate some solutions and efforts to preserve indigenous languages as a part of our identity.
