34 Pathways School Noida Pre Nursery B Newsletter Volume 30 17th May 2014 Dear Families, The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the bees are buzzing! Students of Pre Nursery B are not wasting any time when enjoying this weather! It’s a hot and dry summer, so we are keeping cool with many water and sand activities, as well as our ‘always favourite’ summer activity …Swimming!!! We have been very busy learning all about summer. Books, stories and crafts pertaining to our summer theme have been enjoyed by all. Throughout this month we will continue our learning with outdoor water-play and summer strolls in the mornings where we can see, hear, smell and touch all of the wonders of summer! We believe that the summer months should be a little less structured and a little more fun. Their daily schedule will still include numeracy, language, Art, Music and FREE Play but it will be more hands-on and they will learn through play and imagination. Students also sang rhyme ‘sooraj ek’ for the Primary school assembly on Friday. Students were given picture of mango asked to colour it according to their choice of colours. It was quite interesting to see that some of them preferred to colour their mango yellow whereas there were quite a few who wanted it green and some even coloured it orange. Students select the colour of their favourite ice cream to make scoops on their own. Some wanted their ice cream scoop yellow and orange as they preferred mango and orange flavour, some preferred their brown and pink as chocolate and strawberry flavour were their favourite and some wanted it green. We also shared what we do while we go out in the sun during summer. We went to the park when it was quite hot and saw how we sweat and then feel thirsty. Students also shared they like to switch on the air conditioner and eat loads of ice cream during summer. We have started sharing a lot during circle time as well.
