INSET DAYS 2015/16 We are pleased to confirm dates for INSET days during the academic year 2015/16 as follows: Wednesday 2nd September 2015 Thursday 3rd September 2015 Friday 29th January 2016 Thursday 24th March 2016 Monday 6th June 2016 Class Photographs The deadline for class photo orders for Years 3, 4 and 5 is Monday 8th June, so please return your order if you wish to purchase a photograph. Thank you. Water Bottles! There continues to be a large number of children who are not regularly bringing in a water bottle from home. Please ensure that your child has a water bottle with them every day to ensure they are able to access a drink at any time they need it. If they do not have a water bottle, children have to leave the classroom to get water which can disrupt both their learning and the learning of their classmates. Thank you for your support. Golden Boot Challenge It is that time of year again when we take part in the Golden Boot Challenge, the biggest school travel competition in the country! The annual Golden Boot Challenge is designed to encourage children, parents and schools to choose sustainable alternatives to the car on school journeys. The challenge will run throughout June and teachers will be asking children how they travelled to school and logging it on the Surrey Healthy Schools website. We do appreciate that for some parents it is impossible to walk to school from home; however, we would suggest that when possible parents try to ‘park and stride’, i.e. to park further away from school and walk the rest of the distance. Thank you for your support. Dinner Money Please look out for dinner money invoices which will be sent home next week. All up to date information regarding dinner money payments and amounts owed is also available on the online payment system, Tucasi. Outstanding Payments for School Trips A gentle reminder for parents to check all school trip payments for their child are up to date. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff in the school office. Thank you.
