Welcome
The Yachtclub Scheveningen is willing to host the Melges 24
European Championship in Scheveningen in 2013.
Scheveningen is well known of it`s excellent sailing waters just
minutes away from the downtown area. The Scheveningen
Yacht Club is one of the most respectable clubs of its kind in
the Netherlands. The club organize yearly one of the biggest
sail events in Europe; the North Sea Regatta. Competitors can
be sure of excellent facilities and organization and the best
sailing area the Netherlands has to offer.

the Royal Family lives.

Race area
The races will be held approx 1,5 miles outside from the
harbour.
The race area is free of shipping lanes.
There is a regular tidal stream.
The North Sea Regatta, every
year at withsunday is a good
platform for practicing.

Marina facilities
Marina
There are showers, toilets for men and ladies and car parking
facilities
Boat cranes
There is one permanent crane. Two additional cranes will be
organized for the event.
Sail lofts
One sail loft, is located at the harbour.
Shops
Within walking distance there are food stores and boat
equipment shops.

Accomodation
Scheveningen/ The Haque has plenty of hotels and several
other options like appartments directly on the harbour site or
bungalows near by.

Measurements: 3 days
Tune-up Race on Sunday
European Championship
Monday till Friday: 12 races are
scheduled.
Saturday: spare day
Timing: july/august/ september
