THE VOLCANO SMITHY
Just like the work in the smithy of the Greek God Hephaestus
(for Italians the volcano), it also was for workmen in Valle
Trompia and still it is and stays a place where iron is important
for every work. Come and see the iron smithy, mining industry
and arms manufacturer as well as the international wellknown business: the armaments factory Pietro Beretta Spa.

This trip in the centre of Valle Trompia with its traditions and
mountains is perfect for those, who love the nature and sport.
Discover the secrets of the Triumplino mountains with an
exciting trekking tour through mining or with a hanging itinerary full of adrenalin in the Mining S. Aloisio of Collio while
passing the Path of the Big War on the Mountain Maniva with a
phase of shooting under the National Sign of Gardone in Valle
Trompia and visit of armaments factory of Zoli Antonio Srl, which
produces sport-guns for three generations for Olympic
competitions.
BETWEEN TASTE AND TRADITION

This voyage will take you back in the past and takes you on
a fantastic sensory experience. The first day is dedicated to
traditions of triumplinis as well as a visit to the armaments factory
Pedersoli Davide & C., which is well-knowm for its reproduction
of historical guns that are also used in Hollywood films or in
the Mining S. Aloisio. The second day is dedicated to cooking
traditions and a visit to an agricultural factory, where you can
taste the Valtrompia Cheese (self-made and tested for its quality:
D.O.P.*) as well as a visit of an historical mill, where you can
taste local products too and enjoy walks in the green atmosphere.

“Because of interweaving of iron and steel rods the brescian
damask came to existence”. From this antique work, valuable
production of guns got produced and today they are protected by
smithies in the village Maglio of Ome, in Franciacorta. The factory
Fratelli Piotti of Gardone Valle Trompia took some own guns to
heart in its collection, true and own craft jewelry which are selfmade, thanks to pass on as a passion between father and son.

“To expect to pass the passion for engraving only in oral way on,
is like to expect to eat one’s fill by just looking at bread”. With this
motive the itinerary starts at the workshop for engraving Cesare
Giovanelli Srl, which transmits the passion for engraving for over
50 years to the young generation. The trip continues with a visit
of a museum for weapons and tradition of weapons in Gardone
Val Trompia and ends with an unforgettable view of the birthplace
from Beato Paolo VI as well as of his contemporary art collection that
includes artists like Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, Dalí and Magritte.
