Reinforced concrete with external vibrators from Wacker Neuson:
Choose visibly higher quality.
The concrete surface is increasing in importance as a sign of quality.
Because the entire formwork vibrates when external vibrators are used,
the vibrations evenly enter the fresh concrete via the surface. A favorable
condition for homogeneous, non-porous concrete surfaces.
It often becomes clear that the fresh concrete is inaccessible to internal
vibrators only minutes before the concrete pour. Flexible external
vibrators should therefore always be available.

Anwendungstipps Sichtbetonrüttler
Hinweise zur Befestigung der Sichtbetonrüttler:
- Befestigungssystem fest anziehen.
- Absturzsicherung befestigen.

2Clear instructions for the proper use of
the quality exposed concrete surface
external vibrators are also available at
your Wacker Neuson branch.
The use of internal vibrators.
The use of external vibrators.
TIP 1
Choose the right vibration and effective diameter:
The effective diameter of a high-quality internal vibrator is
approximately ten times the diameter of the vibrator head.
With low-performance internal vibrators, the operating speed
decreases upon immersion in the concrete, and the effective
diameter decreases. Neither time nor quality goals are achieved.
The immersion intervals should be chosen so that
the compaction diameters overlap.

TIP 1
Determine whether the formwork is suitable
for applications with external vibrators.
TIP 2
Maintain the benchmark mounting distance
between the AR 36: horizontal and vertical
distance of approx. 100 cm.
TIP 2
TIP 3
"Sewing together" several poured concrete layers:
the internal vibrator connects the layers.
If several layers are poured "fresh on fresh" (as when concreting
walls), the internal vibrator must be immersed at least 10 cm
deep into the lower layer.
Observe the maximum pouring depth of 50 cm.
TIP 3
Proper compaction with the internal vibrator:
immerse quickly, withdraw slowly:
First, always remove the air pockets at the lowest level.
Therefore:
1.Q uickly immerse the internal vibrator into the fresh concrete
down to the lower edge of the pouring depth.
2.H old the internal vibrator in this position for a sufficient period
of time.
3.P ull the internal vibrator out slowly and steadily at a rate of
approximately 3 - 5 cm/sec.
IMPORTANT:
Do not let the internal vibrator run too long in the air in order to
avoid overheating.
TIP 4
Vibrating along the formwork with the internal vibrator:
- A void touching the formwork with the internal vibrator in
order to avoid damaging the formwork.
If necessary, use the internal vibrator and the rubber cap.
TIP 4
2
Correct
Formwork
Be sure to fasten the retaining system.
TIP 5
Do not turn on the external vibrators, until the
first pouring depth has been reached.
TIP 6
Select
immersion
intervals so that
the effective
ranges overlap
Observe the compaction times:
approx. 3 to 5 minutes per new layer of concrete.
Incorrect
External vibrators are used in the following cases:
Insert least 10 cm
deep into the
fresh concrete.

•H igh, heavily reinforced components with thin walls.
•S loping components.
•S ensitive components such as electrical installations.
•L imited access from above.
•L arge recessed elements (e.g. windows).
- M aintain a sufficient distance of approx. 10 cm between
vibrator and formwork to avoid sand streaking.
