Les Tourmalines
Located about 15 minutes drive to the east of Ouarzazate this private villa/hotel is situated on
a lake/reservoir that provides water to the region. Tourmaline is family run and has a very
friendly atmosphere and the food and service are excellent. The villa also has a small selection
of good Moroccan wines.
The location is very peaceful and relaxed. The rooms are very spacious and all are air-conditioned.
Tourmaline is a great place to unwind and get ready to travel on to Erfoud and the dunes or,
on your way back to Marrakech.
Dar Ahlam Skoura
Dar Ahlam, a Relais et Chateaux property, just 60 minutes from Ouarzazate airport, is set in the
magnificent palm groves of Skoura. From here, clients can be taken to the stunning Todra Gorges,
the World Heritage site of Aït Benhaddou and the Kasbahs featured in many movies, the high dunes
of Mergouza or the date oases of the Draa valley and south to the edge of the Sahara.
Dar Ahlam provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy luxury air-conditioned accommodation,
fine cuisine and first-rate service. Dar Ahlam also offers special excursions and picnics in the
pre-desert countryside thus adding to your adventure. To return to Marrakech from Dar Ahlam, clients
can either take a 45-minute private air charter from Ouarzazate airport, or be driven over the High
Atlas Mountains, a dramatic 5-hour journey with dozens of photo opportunities.
