The Insuladd® insulating paint additive has unique

paint additive. Heat loss in the winter will drop dramatically by using this ceramic paint additive

For paint projects in your home, Insuladd® insulating additive is available in kits containing from
one to 25 pouches. Just mix one pouch of Insuladd® to one gallon of paint purchased from your
neighborhood store. For those larger and commercial projects, Insuladd® ceramic paint additive

Directions for use:
Insuladd Insulating additive for paint.
The contents of the one gallon kit should be gradually stirred into one gallon of house paint and
the contents of the Contractor Jug should be gradually stirred into a 5 gallon pail of paint.
DO NOT try to mix the container of INSULADD directly into an open gallon or pail of paint as it will
not all fit! It is best to get a 1 1/2 gallon plastic container to use for mixing purposes for one gallon
cans of paint. Simply pour a well stirred gallon of paint into the larger sized container and mix in
the INSULADD slowly while stirring. When you finish painting any unused paint can be stored back
in its original container. When painting out of 5 gallon pails of paint it is best to pour off some of the
paint into a separate container to make room for mixing the paint and Insuladd. Mix the paint
between the two containers thoroughly prior to painting.
Add the container of INSULADD gradually to your paint while stirring to avoid clumping of the
Insuladd. Always stir your paint for a minute or two prior to commencing painting if the paint has
been sitting for more than 2 hours since last used. (INSULADD is very easy to mix into paint!)
INSULADD will leave a very fine to the touch texture on the surface to which it has been applied
but will not visually effect most wall surfaces.
A very mild textured wall coating is desirable since they hide numerous defects in a wall surface such
as dents, small gouges, and other surface imperfections. You can achieve a nice textured look to wall
surfaces if you so desire by using a heavy nap (1/2 to ¾ inch) roller.
Follow your paint manufacturers instructions in regards to number of coats to apply and clean up
procedures. (We recommend 2 coats of paint with Insuladd for optimal results)
SAFETY DATA:
INSULADD is a very environmentally friendly blend of in-organic ceramic microspheres which are
non-toxic if ingested. Inhalation of very large amounts of this product in its free powdered state
could cause respiratory irritation and a dust mask should be worn if working around large airborne
concentrations of this product prior to mixing with paint. If eye irritation occurs flush eyes with
water and if problems persist consult a physician.
INSULADD when mixed into paint and applied to a building interior or exterior is completely safe
for children and animals!

Insuladd® E-Coat is an insulating wall paint and roof paint that is a 100-percent acrylic product that

How e-coat works
Insuladd® E-Coat insulating roof paint and insulating wall paint
contains tiny Insuladd ceramic micro-spheres of 30-100 microns in
diameter.
These tiny microspheres act as highly efficient thermal
barriers that reflect radiant against heat, this actual happens
even before the Insuladd® E-Coat and Insuladd® ceramic
paint additive dries.
Insuladd has ceramic micro-spheres
which create a thermal barrier. They
refract, reflect and dissipate heat.
Below is a typical surface where
Insuladd e-coat has been applied.
A highly efficient radiant barrier greatly improves your roof
insulation or attic insulation. This is created by the
microspheres coming closer together as the coating dries,
until they eventually touch each other forming a single, very
thin, thermal barrier.
This barrier reflects, refracts and dissipates heat, thereby
keeping heat in a structure during the cold winter months and
out of the structure during the hot summer months.
The Insuladd® microspheres are extremely strong and
lightweight, the ceramic particles add very little weight but
substantially increase the strength of the coating.

Insuladd® RBC is a 100 percent acrylic heat blocking paint that cleans up easily with
soap and water. It provides a superior radiant barrier to the underside of your roof and
substantially improves the performance of your attic insulation inside while effectively
blocking moisture.
Not only is Insuladd® RBC less costly than traditional foil barriers, it provides a radiant
barrier and moisture barrier that keeps wood from rotting.
Standard thermal insulation causes additional problems associated with moisture
condensation that can get trapped inside your home when the house contains water vapor.
If this vapor passes into the insulation and condenses, it significantly reduces the
insulating value. Several other problems can occur if moisture becomes trapped in the
structure including, mold growth, paint peeling and eventual rotting of the structural
wood. Insuladd® RBC heat blocking paint reduces the passage of this potentially
damaging water vapor.
Insuladd® RBC is easily applied to walls, attics, ceilings and basements as well as the
underside of roof decks. In addition to these areas, painting the underside of your roof in
the attic area, Insuladd® RBC can improve the performance of your existing attic
insulation by as much as 40% which will substantially reduce the heat gain and loss
potential of that area.
In order to maximize the energy efficiency of the exterior or interior walls and ceilings of
your home, we suggest applying Insuladd® RBC heat blocking paint as a primer and
Insuladd® Insulating Additive mixed into the finish coat of the paint.
Insuladd® RBC provides additional roof insulation simply and easily by using airless
spray painting equipment. It can also be applied using a paint brush or roller. It's an easy
way to upgrade the roof insulation and attic insulation to existing buildings as well as
new construction.
