Chronology 1989 The third Company office opens in Benidorm (Alicante). 2002 Development continues with new offices opening at Almeria and Jerez airports. 2011 The offices at the airports of Barcelona, Bilbao, Ibiza, and Menorca are inaugurated and international expansion begins with the opening of Faro (Portugal). 1995 Valencia office opens. 2006 New ventures open in Reus (Tarragona) and Seville. 2012 The expansion in Europe is consolidated with the opening of new offices in Portugal and Italy. 1997 The Benidorm offices are moved to a better location. The first office in Alicante Airport is inaugurated. 2007 New openings in Girona and Granada. The Company brand name changes to Goldcar. 2013 Inauguration of 9 offices. Goldcar ranks as the number 1 hire car company in the Spanish holiday market. 1998 The Company begins a phase of growth and creates new departments which leads to the expansion of headquarters, based in San Juan de Alicante. 2008 New headquarters open along with centres in Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canarias. 2014 8 new offices open. Entry into Malta, Andorra and Morocco. Goldcar achieves number 1 in the holiday car hire market in Portugal.
