Our winter is finally over and golf season is upon us. As you may be aware, we are now part of Arcis Equity Partners. This is an exciting time for us as we work with you to continually improve Eagle Brook C.C.. Our philosophy of service and “happy to do it” attitude will be one of the first things you see. I hope you notice the positive changes that have already occurred such as: New service attitude No Dues Increase for 2015 No Guest Fee or Cart Fee increases for 2015 New Membership Movement – Membership by Invitation Eagle Golf committed to start the removal of dead Trees and stumps on the golf course - to begin early April Eagle Golf committed to match all Tree Fund donations for new Trees on the Golf Course Updates to the Driving Range (New Den Caddies, range mats, and range balls) Return of Prepaid dues program Focus on Member satisfaction Our priority at Eagle Brook Country Club is to reach a full, satisfied complement of Golf Members; our ultimate goal is to have waiting list to join! The highest status of any private Club is when it reaches a full complement of active Members. In today’s times, it is more important than ever to replace Members who leave, in order to continue to position our Club as one of the premier private clubs in the Fox Valley. With this in mind, we are encouraging you to help us grow our Membership from within by inviting your friends to come and experience Club membership. I hope you will proudly refer and sponsor at least one new Member this spring. Stop by and talk with our Membership Director, Derek Weber for more information about “membership by invitation” or any other questions you may have. The Board of Governors along with several other committee Members and myself are seeking your input regarding your Club experience. We want the transition of our ownership to be seamless for you while we provide you the best Club experience possible. Our team of employees has been undergoing training to help accomplish this. It is now time to work together to determine future needs of the club, both from a facilities and service stand point. I hope you will reach out to me and your Member representatives (Boards and Committee Members) and provide your valuable input. We hope to see you at the Club soon! Sincerely, Kathy Henry Mike Ritschdorff Jeff Robinson Eric Pratali, PGA General Manger Bruce Caldwell Advisory Board President Message from the Golf Committee Eagle Brook Members, As your 2015 Golf Committee Chair, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 Golf Season. The Committees’ motivation is to enhance your experience by significantly increasing your participation in all golf events for 2015. As a member for over 15 years, I feel there are 2 huge attributes at EBCC, they are; our great golf course & “you” the members. We feel, if we can parlay those 2 qualities into all events, this will enhance your membership and make your experience that much more meaningful at the Club. The best way to quickly meet new members is to participate in the club golf events. If the thought of competitive golf seems a bit too intimidating (which it was for me at first) especially as a newer member, then I encourage you to sign up for the Couples’ Events, Ladies 9-hole League and the inaugural “Ringer” Thursday Men’s League Night, see T-book for details. The Ringer League was developed to encourage & introduce our Men members to a fun, low key and competitive environment which we hope will become a staple event on the Golf Calendar for years to come! The beauty of the Ringer League is it gives our Men members a nice entry into a competitive yearlong individual or low key fun team game, so you will be welcome no matter how you want to participate. Point of clarification, if you are a Ringer League participate, you Do Not have to play every week, you still play as your schedule permits, however, the more you play the greater your odds of becoming the Ringer Champion! There are countless ways, other than golf, to enhance your membership and meet many Members; I would suggest you check out the monthly cocktail parties, Opening & Closing Day Dinner parties, among the countless other dinning events on the calendar. In addition, pay special attention to the 2 new pairings parties on Friday nights prior to the Opening Day & Partner Total Ball events, these will be in conjunction with a member cocktail party on Friday, May 8th & July 31st, anyone can attend you Do Not have to Participate in the Golf Event to enjoy these parties! My sincere thanks to everyone on the Golf Committee for their commitment & support, these people work hard on your behalf and made my time on the committee that much more enjoyable, Thank you! A very special acknowledgement goes to: TJ Sommers as the Ringer Chair, Eric Pratali, and Ryan Buckland whom all helped develop a strong format for this year’s inaugural Ringer Men’s League! With all your help, let’s make 2015 your best golf & participation year ever. I sincerely hope “ALL” members will consider & support our golf events & take a serious look at the new Ringer League as well as all the events the club has to offer! Participation is the Life Blood for a strong & vibrant Club; let’s make it happen in 2015! You may have noticed golf related emails from Eagle Brook in you inbox this spring. I look forward to continuing this communication primarily to keep the Membership informed on upcoming events, merchandise sales, and other pertinent golf information. There will be an email each week with the subject “Upcoming Golf Events” that will list all of our events that are either open for sign-up, or soon to be open for sign-up. Please take a look at these weekly emails not only to keep abreast with the tournament schedule, but also to be aware of when the golf course may be unavailable for normal play. I hope that this information will prove helpful to each of you. If you are not receiving these emails, please let any staff member know and we will update your profile on our club broadcast database. The tournament schedule at Eagle Brook has already commenced with our Becker Cup and Kolbe Cup. Brackets have been set and may be viewed outside of the Men’s Locker Room. Both walls in the Men’s Locker Room will be undergoing some refurbishing and we hope to have both walls finished in the coming month. We also have multiple events with sign-ups already open: Opening Day, Spring Men’s Stag, and the Aerie Invitational. Information for each event is on our website and emails will be sent weekly with tournament descriptions. Please sign-up as soon as you are able to ensure your spot in all of our great events. The practice facility is now in full swing and now is the time to wipe the dust not only on your clubs, but on your swing as well. Get a jump on your season by seeing one of your Golf Professionals to hone your game and get tournament ready. Be on the lookout for an email soon with all of our instructional offerings. Our Junior Golf Program for 2015 has been finalized and may be viewed on our website at www.eaglebrookclub.com . We have multiple programs for our juniors throughout the year and range from first time youngsters to competitive juniors in High School. Please review our Junior Golf Program and sign-up today! One of my greatest joys of being a Golf Professional is getting to know every member and family. I hope to meet each of you throughout the year and even get a chance to play golf together. If you need any assistance, please let me know. My door is always open and I can also be reached at any time through email at [email protected] . We have four programs this year for our junior golfers with programs for any ability and experience. Registration for any of our Junior Golf Programs is available in either the Golf Shop or at the front desk in the Clubhouse. The Eagle Brook Junior Golf Program is open to all Full Golf, Sport, & Social Members. Our season begins with our Spring Training Session for juniors interested in earning a “Gold Bag Tag” and for current Gold Bag Tag Juniors that would like to start the season with an instructional program to help maintain their games. Juniors with Gold Bag Tags have the privilege of playing and practicing at Eagle Brook without the supervision of an adult. The Spring Training Session is our way of preparing juniors for golf on their own. The Summer Junior Golf Program begins on June 9th and will be conducted over a 4-week period at the start of the summer. We will have four groups for the juniors that will be determined by each junior’s age and/or ability. The Summer Junior Golf Program will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour clinic on each day. On Tuesdays, the clinic will be followed by on-course play. We are looking for parental assistance with chaperoning junior golfers on the course after the clinics on Tuesdays. We are asking all parents to volunteer at least once during the Summer Junior Golf Program for the on-course portion. We will have a chaperone signup sheet for the entire program available on the first day of the Summer Junior Golf Program. Please list the date(s) that you will be able to take our junior golfers on the course. We appreciate your support. New this year to our Junior Golf Program is Eagle Brook’s involvement in the PGA Junior League Golf. The PGA Junior League Golf is a fun “Little League” atmosphere for junior golfers ages 13 and younger. We will have 20 spots available for the PGA Junior League and sign-up will be on a first come, first serve basis once the sign-up window opens on April 15th. This 2-person scramble format is a great way to get juniors involved in golf and an exciting way to watch your children compete in the game you love. Our final offering in our Junior Golf Program is the Champions Program. The Champions program is designed for competitive junior golfers that either play on the High School Golf Team, or are interested in playing for their High School Golf Team. This four week program is more hands on with our instructors and each student will receive a half hour private lesson. This program will meet on Wednesdays leading up to tryouts at the high schools for the golf team. We are proud of our junior golfers and we want to help each achieve their goals in the game of golf. The Champions Program is a great way to get ready for the competitive season. We would like to thank you for allowing your children to participate in our programs at Eagle Brook. Please review the entire registration form and events schedule, fill out the necessary forms, and turn them in to the Golf Shop as soon as possible.
