Hallite 820 High Performance Rod Wiper www.hallite.com hallite820_US_4pp.indd 1 11/2/14 11:05:33 Designed with the same look and feel as Hallite’s popular T842 and engineered to fit the same ‘D’ groove as our T520 wiper, the T820 wiper was developed specifically for harsher environments where the wiper is subject to numerous contaminants. This is common in agriculture, off-highway and forestry equipment. What makes the T820 unique is the protective debris guard, which entirely covers the retaining groove. This feature, known as Hallite’s Umbrella Wiper Technology, offers added protection to the integrity of the hydraulic system. Often with a normal ‘D’ style wiper, it is possible to trap liquids or debris in the wiper cavity or pocket around the O.D. of the wiper. This can eventually corrode the pocket or pass debris around the wiper, contaminating the entire system and resulting in downtime, as well as repair and warranty costs. Another advantage of the T820 is the ease of installation. Unlike metal press-in wipers normally specified for harsh environments, the T820 can be installed without the use of special tooling. The T820 also incorporates the performance I.D. ribs found on the T520 to enhance low friction operation, as well as prevent pressure trap between the wiper and the primary rod seal. The standard material offering is the same hydrolysis-resistant Hythane® 181 polyurethane as other Hallite high performance seals. This material has excellent low temperature capabilities and compression set characteristics, along with excellent wear and abrasive resistance, and proven performance with a variety of fluids. The T820 is also offered in a number of other polyurethanes such as the Hythane® 361 and Hythane® 371, a very aggressive scraping material with a proven track record in forestry, mining and aggregate industries.
