2016 CATALOGUE The history of Omersub begins in the late Seventies, in Northern Italy, with the specific mission of developing and manufacturing top quality spearguns for a few very demanding spearfishing champions. Valerio Grassi, the founder of Omersub, could then benefit from the experience of firearms manufacturer Beretta, directly involved in the start-up capital of Omersub, both in the design and manufacturing of high precision and unique spearguns and spearfishing accessories. Since then, Omersub has unceasingly pursued its original mission, reaching unique experiences in the application of new solutions for all products related to the mystical world of skindiving and spearfishing. The barrel, with a cuttlefish profile, is equipped with two enclosed track rails. The top rail guides shafts, equipped with shark fins (you can use shafts from 6.5 mm to 7 mm) to avoid any possibility of the so called “shaft whip”. Equipped with 14mm Performer bands with Dyneema wishbones and an America 6.75mm shaft in the 85cm and 95cm guns and 7mm shaft in the 105cm and 115cm guns. The Muzzle features 2 pulleys with stainless steel spheres protected by an “anti sand” cage. This spheres allows for an enhanced performance and improve resistance to axial loads. The hole in the head can fit one or two extra bands (in this second case with a maximum diameter of 16mm). On the sides there are two stainless steel guides to hold the line and to prevent contact with the rubber bands and avoid tangle. The Handle features the Cayman mechanism entirely made in Stainless Steel to ensure great sensitivity even in the face of extreme loads. The handle features a stainless steel eyelet. On the side of the handle it’s possible to insert a stainless steel ring (included in the packaging) to house the bungee line. It comes with left and right soft handle. CAYMAN ET BLACK & CAMU 3D New cuttlefish shape speargun with considerable mass and rigidity featuring an integrated Enclosed Track spearshaft guide.This system keeps the shaft perfectly straight during the shooting phase even with double bands, avoiding any possibility of so called “shaft whip”. The outcome is more power, accuracy and range than traditional open track guns of comparable size. The increased volume of the speargun barrel allows for an optimal balance of the gun even with 7mm shafts and double bands. The camouflage version differs from the stock version with a three-dimensional camouflage speargun barrel using heat-transfer technology. In addition to a longer butt and a rubberized butt for chest loading also included in the stock black versions, the camouflage version includes an ergonomic handle for right handed divers.
