Welcome to the 42nd Annual Sedro-Woolley Rotary Foundation Auction.
This year we are honoring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein and their
incredible musicals such as South Pacific, Oklahoma, The King and I and The
Sound of Music. Enjoy yourself as we bring this auction to you with the hope
you have a great time and get that item that you have your eyes on.
The Auction Committee has worked very hard and spent long hours putting
together all aspects of this auction including planning, cataloging, displaying
and decorating to make this a memorable evening for all of our guests. The
Sedro-Woolley Rotary Club wishes to thank the many people who have so
generously contributed time, money, merchandise and services to make this
auction successful.
We hope that you enjoy this special evening knowing that you are making
a difference to our Skagit community as well as to our students who will
greatly benefit, in the form of scholarships, with the money raised here
tonight. All of the proceeds of this auction go back into the community. For
our guests’ safety, if you need a taxicab simply ask any Rotarian and one will
be provided for you at no cost.

16 Have a Blast

Do you need to sight in a new rifle? Do you just want to know more
about guns and shooting? Would you like to spend a little time at the
range with professional firearms instruction? How about just going
to the range , spend some time with friends and do a little shooting?
Mike and Lisa Janicki, Dean and Erin Klinger and Lin and Carla
Tucker are offering up a deal for you. We take a party of 4 couples
to the range, we will provide snacks, weapons, some ammunition
(bullets are kinda scarce these days) and Police Certified Firearms
Instructors. We will divide up the group so one group -the girls-can
have their own personal instructor. The will get their own instructor
for a four hour block of Firearms Instruction at the Plantation Range,
just South of Bellingham. We are going to be shooting pistols, rifles
and shotguns. We can spend time on the fundamentals of firearms
handling and end up running through a combat course. You will set
the pace. Bring your own guns and any ammo you can spare, we will
do the same. After finish shooting the bulls-eye out of some targets (or
at least scaring the targets) we will head to the Alger Bar and grill for
a sit down meal and a few drinks, all provided by your hosts. What

19 Contribute to a Scholarship
Thanks to you, the Sedro-Woolley Rotary Club is able to help the youth
of our community by giving scholarships to graduating seniors.
There will be five levels of giving in the amounts of $1,000, $500,
$250, $100 and $50, plus there will be an opportunity to sponsor
and entire scholarship yourself. What a great way to help our local
students to further their education. These kids are our future and
need our help! Remember, your contribution is fully tax deductible!

20 Husky or Cougar Road Trip

This is your opportunity for one set of Cougar or Husky fans to
follow their team to the Bay Area. On the weekend of November 9
and 10 the Huskies will play California in Berkeley and the Cougars
will play Stanford in Palo Alto. This trip is for 2 and includes $400
airfare credit, 3 nights of accommodations in a wonderful hotel and
game tickets with tickets to the teams respective fan warm-up at the

21 Chateau Ste. Michelle / Redhook Brewery Tour $800
Choose a date and Joe Jones Entertainment will drive you safely from
Skagit County to Woodinville where you will be dropped off at the
famous Chateau Ste. Michelle for a tour of the winery to see how they
make their award winning wines. Following the tour and some wine
tasting you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens
of the winery. The garden tour will be followed by a tasting party
where you will be exposed to a number of premium and distinctive
wines prior to your departure. Your next stop is another Woodinville
landmark, the Redhook Brewery. Here again you will be shown how
their many fine beers are brewed with sampling at the end of the
tour. You will go away with a souvenir pint glass from the brewery. If

24 Dinner a Month for One Year

as once a month a special dinner will be delivered to your home on
a date and time of your choosing. Beginning in May of 2014 through
April 2015 meals will be prepared and delivered to your home
(within Skagit County) ready for you to sit down and enjoy this wide
cornucopia of tasty treats. Each month will appetizers, salad, main
entree, dessert and beverages. This is a meal for 6 people each month

This sporty kayak includes some special additions and options
fishermen in particular will be very pleased to see. The lengthened
cockpit and increased capacity will suit larger individuals or simply
enable a larger load. The cockpit features a long tray down the center
with an access hatch looking aft in front of the seat. An optional
console cover allows the paddler to use the hatch as a rod pod, with
the cover protecting the reels and whatever else during surf launching
and landing. There is a platform for Plano box storage at the forward
end of the cockpit and, as before, multiple options for mounting rod
holders, fish finders, depth gauges, etc… The roomy tank well is

retreat, family reunion or gathering of close friends. The SedroWoolley Rotarians will provide a tantalizing BBQ by Double Barrel
BBQ, accompanied with all the sides for 40 guests. The setting for
this extravaganza is nestled in the seclusion of majestic, mature cedar
trees on the two-acre lakeside property of Steve and Janet Ruhl at Big
Lake. There will be ski boats for skiing or touring the lake, a private
authentic western saloon, 50 foot dock and large beach. What really
sets this party off is the live music provided by the band Jumbled
Pie who will have you on your feet dancing in the grass with a tasty
sampling of Cajun, Americana and Rhythm and Blues dance music.

the dirt better than Sedro-Woolley Rotarians. Landscaping, fence
building, and more. At least six Rotarians along with their big-boy
toys for moving dirt or digging holes will be available to the highest
bidder and will captain the efforts. No job is too big for this crew-we’ll
get ‘er done right.
34 Trap Shooting and Dinner for 6

This is your chance to try that trapshooting that you see so often in
movies or on TV except this is real. Everything will be taken care of; 2
rounds of trap for 5 people, 3 turkey shoots (winner gets the turkey),
guns will be provided for those who don’t have them, ammo for the
whole day, personal instruction from an International Shooter and a
souvenir ball cap. When you’re done shooting you will be treated by a
fabulous steak and salmon dinner with all the trimmings. You will go
home with great memories. Don’t miss out on this one.

35 Max Dales Dinner for 12 people

Max Dales cooked it and Max Dales will deliver a prime rib dinner
for 12. The meal includes Caesar salad, baked potatoes with all the
goodies and trimmings, oven roasted fresh vegetables with balsamic
glaze, Max Dale’s homemade dinner rolls, slow roasted prime rib with
horseradish sauce and burnt crème for dessert. The Sedro-Woolley
Rotary Club will provide the beverages.

36 River Rafting Trip for 6 People
A rafting trip for 6 people from Triad River Tours. The lucky recipient
will have the choice of either a scenic Skagit River float or a white
water adventure on the Sauk River. After rafting your group will
head to the Birdsview Brewing Company and enjoy tasty food and
delicious beer with a $200.00 gift certificate. The Birdsview Brewing
Company has live music most Saturday’s, so check out their website
to see what bands are playing.
The gift certificate for the rafting trip expires 08/30/2014. Make your
reservations as soon as possible to ensure you get the date that works
best for you. As for the Sauk River, we are at nature’s mercy, so the
season can be cut short.

37 Nordic Tug San Juan Cruise

This item is a wonderful boat trip to the beautiful Coronet Bay in this
Deception Pass boat tour for 10 people. You’ll meet up at Country
Meadows in Sedro-Woolley at a predetermined time and hop on
the bus where the fun begins. You board the Deception Pass boat
and head out under the bridge into the open waters of the Sound as
you listen to the history of the area and how it deceived everyone.
After your hour long sojourn, you will return to the beach where an
incredible gourmet picnic will be waiting for you. The date will be
mutually agreed upon.
