With the sun shining, Bauma 2016 opened in Munich and lured
April 11, 2016, it was about time again: for the 32nd time, the largest trade show Bauma opened the gates again for
its about 580,000 visitors from all over the world. With a share of 63% the exhibitors were more international than
ever before. More than 3,400 exhibitors from 58 countries presented their latest developments and innovations on
605,000 m² exhibition area – inside and outside.
For the KINSHOFER Group, Bauma 2016 was also larger than ever: on about 2,000 m² the manufacturer of crane
and excavator attachments informed interested parties and professionals about standard products as well as new
developments.
Especially with the latter KINSHOFER was not reluctant at Bauma 2016!
With the sun shining, Bauma 2016 opened in Munich and lured numerous visitors to the open-air fairground of the
Neue Messe München. Just as in 2013, the booth of the KINSHOFER Group had not only hosted its subsidiaries Demarec B.V.
(The Netherlands) and RF-Systems AB (Sweden), but also the two sisters Brokk (Sweden) and Darda (Germany). And a new
subsidiary to the KINSHOFER Group could also be found there – additionally to its own booth in hall B3: the new KINSHOFER
subsidiary Auger Torque Europe Ltd.
Again, KINSHOFER did not only count on the static presentation of its products, but additionally demonstrated a range of
different products mounted onto two carrier machines in the proper demonstration area on the huge booth. Both carrier
machines were equipped with the new types of the innovative NOX Tiltrotator – TR14NOX (prototype) and TR19NOX –
allowing for different tasks within a very limited space. Excavating and levelling works were performed as well as the rehandling of pallets, the positioning of curb stones and even the installation of screw piles. The demonstration was attended
by two presenters, that led the German- and English-speaking audience through the show. Additionally, the spectators could
follow the show on a huge outdoor screen.
However, it was not only in to watch: interested parties could test the NOX Tiltrotator themselves thanks to the external
excavator seat via remote control! The handling of the tiltrotator is so easy, that even little children were able to perform
excavating works without any problems.
As present as the large demo area was also the latest KINSHOFER product group: a complete series of quick couplers and
buckets for excavators. Buckets for different applications from a tiny mini-bucket for 1t-excavators up to general buckets up to
28t could be found there as well as different mechanical and hydraulic quick coupling systems.
One new KINSHOFER development here: the fully hydraulic CMX SmartFlow quick coupler! And not only for the excavator
range, but finally also for the use on loader cranes! The latter fully hydraulic and fast exchange function could be tested by the
visitors themselves on a hydraulic unit, simulating the change between two attachments with shaft rotator on a loader crane.
The word spread quickly on the fairground and you could listen to discussions about this innovation at all booths of the large
loader crane manufacturers!
Another KINSHOFER-newborn is the new, huge re-handling clamshell bucket with the revolutionary HPXdrive! All advantages
of the cylinderless and maintenance-free, already proven and widely known HPXdrive-system, used in an attachment for
excavators with up to 40t operating weight. Even the shell exchange function remains, thus easily change from shells to e.g.
timber tines. And those were just some examples of what could be found at the KINSHOFER booth!
As in 2013, there had also been a lottery at the KINSHOFER booth again. This year‘s first prize had been a complete bucket
set with quick coupler adapted to the winner‘s excavator, the second prize a complete set of the new KINSHOFER workwear,
and the third price a voucher for a relax weekend in hotel at the winner‘s choice. KINSHOFER‘s managing director, Thomas
Friedrich, drew the lucky winners‘ tickets at the end of the show after Bauma‘s traditional honking fest!
Enough of words now, let the pictures rather speak for themselves, and we hope to welcome you again in 2019 on our next
Bauma appearance!
