While there are certainly easier real life durability tests you could
do to prove that all-steel broadheads are stronger than
aluminum, we like to go further.
The very first durability test we performed was not to shoot into
plywood or steel drums. We wanted to see if our broadheads
would hold up to high density paver blocks.
Broadhead designers only get 100 grains to work with. It’s
important to make those 100 grains count.
The MontecTM design was revolutionary and is still the only true
one-piece design on the market today.
When it comes to manufacturing, one of my father’s favorite
sayings comes to mind: “You’re only as good as you can
measure.”

A family-owned business from the start, the story of G5 Outdoors began in 1966 with the founding of Grace
Engineering in Memphis, Michigan. Over the years, the company grew and became known for developing

launched. An all-steel, one-piece, 3 blade broadhead, it’s our top-selling broadhead to this day.

In June of 2012, G5 launched From the Field, a blog dedicated to the hunting and archery lifestyle.
Our goal is to give our customers a more in-depth look into the many different aspects of bow
hunting and target archery.
From the Field blends education and entertainment with a focus on the visual through video and
