How to Upload your Site with SFTP (Cute-FTP)
If you don't have a SFTP client installed, download one e.g. "CuteFTP".
1. After the installation, start the CuteFTP and it will ask the FTP-Address (Host Address) and the Site Name
which is only used to give a description for the connection e.g. "Homesite". This is not an actual user name.
Type the ftp-address in the "Host Address", which is like:
ftp.mydomain.ext (e.g. ftp.sjr.fi) or our general ftp-address: gate.sjr.fi
2.Enter your FTP-login name in the "User Name" field and the FTP-password in the "Password".

3. Enter the default folder from which the files are uploaded in the "Default Local Folder" field.
4. Click "Finish" to open the FTP-connection.

5. When the FTP-connection is active, in the left "Local Drives" window you'll see files that will be uploaded
to the server and in the right window the remote folder where the files are sent.
6. Select the folder/files you want to upload from the left windows and click the right mouse button, from the
menu select "Upload".
Now the selected folder/files are uploaded to the destination folder in the server.
NOTE! All the files that are visible in the internet must be placed in the public_html folder or one of its
subfolders.

7. If necessacy, change the file and folder priviledges to ones specified, select the files or a folder in the
server and click the right mouse button, from the menu select: "Properties / CHMOD".
8. Set the "Permissions" as 644 for files and 755 for directories and Click "OK".

9. When all the files have been uploaded successfully, you can disconnect FTP from the Menu: "File" ->
"Disconnect".
