What is CALDO?
• Consortium of the University of Alberta, Laval University, Dalhousie
University, and the University of Ottawa, established in 2010
• Four of Canada’s top research universities, offering a comprehensive
range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs
• Diverse range of world-class researchers and facilities
• Primary objective is to coordinate outreach to international partner
institutions, particularly where the consortium can offer mutual
advantages of its four members to partners

Consortium of Alberta, Laval, Dalhousie and Ottawa Universities
Why CALDO?
• Canada’s top research universities have — U15?
• CALDO universities are four of the best in the G-13; we believe
working together can achieve goals that the other G-13 universities
cannot achieve alone
• CALDO is a bold new initiative in Canada—an active consortium with
tight coordination and close connections, designed to interact
effectively with international partner institutions
