Danson House is a stunning Georgian villa, built for love and designed for celebration. Set in
magnificent parkland overlooking the sparkling Danson lake it is the perfect location for your
boutique wedding
With three exquisite rooms all licensed for civil ceremonies and perfect for celebrations . The
dining room: decorated in romantic gold's and pinks and the library: a splendid space, hosting the
magnificent organ. These rooms are both licensed for up to 65 people and perfect for dining up to
50 people
The Salon: smaller but equally as stunning. A octagonal room with sumptuous wall coverings and
stylish decorations is licensed for a maximum of 45 .
Danson House is available 7 days a week for civil ceremonies. Your two hour booking allows
plenty of time for after ceremony drinks and photographs in this beautiful house
Or choose an all inclusive package and stay on to enjoy your wedding breakfast in one of the
stunning rooms . Our packages are available on Friday and Saturdays from 1st April—31st
October and at anytime during the winter months offering great value . Available for a minimum of
30 people the all inclusive packages includes your ceremony time and every thing you need for
your celebration meal afterwards, including canapés, reception drinks, 3 course meal, toast wine
and table flowers. We also offer special seasonal deals with the addition of a recommended
Photographer. Please ask for details of the current offer

General Information
Your ceremony:
When booking a ceremony at Danson House you will need to fully complete the relevant booking
form. Failure to complete all required information will result in a delay in confirming your booking.
The Trust will register your booking with the registrar’s online booking system. Once this has
been done you will receive a email confirmation with your next steps. Please note the bride will be
listed as the primary contact unless otherwise advised

Relish catering ltd are our exclusive caterers. Chosen for their expertise, service and culinary
skills. A local company based in Dartford they specialise in home cooking using local produce
and seasonal ingredients. As our exclusive caterer they will always be available to cater for your
day. With chefs that excel and are passionate about your food and a team that will help guide
you through your choices. The perfect recipe for the perfect wedding.

The Venue:
Danson house is a grade 1 listed Georgian villa and in order to protect the
building we do unfortunately need of enforce a few restrictions:
Red/Rose wine is not permitted on the principal floor
Reception drinks can be served on the principal floor or in the gardens. They must consist of
white drinks only served by our caterers (Not available if the house is open to the public)
No confetti is allowed in the house or grounds of Danson House
No naked flames (Inc candles and lanterns) are permitted in the house or grounds.
Guests are not permitted to wander around the house with food.
Balloons are not permitted.
No smoke machines
Please note that the tea room on the terrace level is open to the public 7 days a week.

Payment terms:
A provisional booking can be made. The Trust will hold a date for a maximum of two weeks
pending receipt of a booking form and deposit. If another party requests your date during this
time you will be contacted and given a period of 48 hours to make a deposit payment. Failing this
the date will be released.
Please see booking forms for deposits due. All deposits remain non refundable.

The hirer is accountable for any damage caused throughout the event. A copy of a insurance certificate
is required and should be forwarded to the Bexley Heritage Trust no less than 4 weeks prior to the event date,

sustained.
A non-returnable deposit of 50% of the total cost (including vat) is to be included with the booking form and

Terms and CondiBookings of functions with Bexley Heritage Trust (BHT) are subject to the following
1. A booking cannot be confirmed until a completed and signed booking form has been returned together with
a deposit equal to 50% of the total contract price.
2. The contract price shall be:
a) the total hire cost; and
b) such other sum as may have been agreed by BHT and the customer.
3. The customer shall pay:
a) an agreed non-returnable deposit as stated, to be received within 14 days of the date being provisionally
held, and
b) The balance of the contract price and any other sums under 2(b) not less than 56 days (eight weeks) prior
to the date of the function.
4. The customer must confirm the number of guests to attend the function no less than ten days before the
function.
5. The customer shall use BHT premises strictly for the purposes of the function and for the time agreed.
6. The function must end at the agreed time, but in the event of any over-run BHT reserves the right to make
an additional charge.
7. If the customer does not meet payments in accordance with these conditions BHT reserves the right to cancel the function by informing the customer in writing at the address held on file.
8. The customer may cancel the booking by notice in writing to BHT. Where the booking is cancelled by the
customer more than two months (eight weeks) before the function is due to take place, BHT will make no
charge or claim for damages subject to the customer meeting any costs already incurred by BHT in connection with the function. The deposit remains non refundable.
Any cancellations less than 8 weeks prior to the booked date are liable for all agreed hire costs.
9. BHT shall not be liable for loss of or damage to the property of the customer or customer’s guests suffered
or incurred whilst on BHT’s premises.
10. The customer shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure that no damage occurs to the property of
BHT or its employees or catering contractor. Damage caused to BHT premises, its fixtures or fittings during
the function, unless caused by the direct action of BHT’s employees or contractors, will be charged to the customer on a repair or renewal basis (whichever is reasonably deemed appropriate by BHT)
In the event of any members of staff being injured by the customer or anyone attending the function the customer shall be liable for any claims arising therein.
11. The customer must take out adequate insurance to this effect, proof of which must be presented to BHT
no later than 4 weeks prior to the booking.
12. The customer will select from the suppliers approved by BHT.
13. The customer must comply with fire regulations and statutory requirements concerning licensing and entertainment relevant to the event.
14. In the event of circumstances arising which are beyond BHT’s control and which render impracticable performance by BHT of its obligations in respect of the booking, BHT will seek to make alternative arrangements
that will be acceptable to the customer. If this is not possible, so that BHT is unable to perform its obligation
under this agreement, such non-performance is excused and BHT may terminate this Agreement without further liability of any nature, upon return of the customer’s deposit and any such other sums received from the
customer in respect of the function. In no event shall BHT be liable for consequential damages of any nature
for any reason whatsoever.
The circumstances referred to include (but are not limited to) damage to, or destruction of, BHT property
(whether by fire or otherwise), breakdown of machinery, failure of supply of electricity, strike, labour, dispute,
accident, act of war, act of God, fire flood or other emergency condition
15. Although every attempt will be made to advise of activities taking place elsewhere In Danson park, BHT
will not be responsible for any external activities which may affect the functions within the House.
