H OW UNICEF M A K E S A DIFFERENCE T O CHILDREN Unicef is the world’s leading organisation for children, working in over 190 countries. With your support, we provide life-saving food, medicine and clean water to children. The most vulnerable and disadvantaged children are our priority. Ibrahim’s story Thirteen-year-old Ibrahim* was forced to flee Syria with his family almost two years ago when the bombing intensified. Just a week after they left, their house was completely destroyed. Ibrahim missed two years of school because of the conflict, but now has a place at a local school in Irbid thanks to Unicef. We are working to make sure that local Jordanian schools have the resources they need to cope with the large numbers of Syrian refugee children. Thanks to your support, Unicef has provided 2.8 million children with educational supplies as well as Unicef-supported safe spaces where they can take part in activities such as football and have access to a social worker. 1. Follow the instructions to set up your page Choose your fundraising target (the higher it is, the more children we can help), page title and team members if you have them Tell people why you are fundraising for Unicef and how their donation can make a difference to the lives of children. Once your page is set up, email the link to your friends, family and colleagues, link to your Facebook page and tweet about it.
