TEEN LEADERS CLUB
As Meghan Trainor says, “It’s all about that Bass”. You are beautiful the way you
are. Join us each week for a summer of fitness, health, games, field trips, and
fashion. Trips to a River Bandits game, Capri College, Adventureland and others
are waiting for you!
GUY THING: The Edge of Reality
The reality is…..health, fitness, gaming, and team sports. The balance can be as
easy as finding a few hobbies, learning some easy healthy choices, and working for
a common goal. Join a group that combines the whole reality each week...just for
guys! Trips to a River Bandits game and Adventureland are included, too!
Hey Teens! The Y is counting on you to lead the way! Use your ideas, passions,
strength, and interests to develop service projects and club activities that will
make a difference! Teen Leaders is a teen-driven, teen lead club that focuses on
fun, service, teambuilding, and health.
ART CLUB
Want more than just a craft project? This club will focus on the art forms and will
produce 3 to 4 large projects over the course of the summer.
FITNESS CLUB
The weight room and fitness classes can be intimidating for middle school youth with
all those adults around. So, we developed a class just for you! Join us for two
classes each week, one day of strength training & one day of cardio. Feel safe and
confident working out in a social setting.
VIDEO MAKING CLUB
We need script writers, camera people, and On-Air personalities this Summer to pull
off some fun videos that will help the Y Marketing teams, swimmers, and members
enjoy the Y. We will start simple and work our way to fun!
STEP IT UP CLUB
RUNNING CLUB
Connect with the community and the Y. Feel what it’s like to be a part of something

some company while running? That’s what we are here for! We don’t care if you
are a beginner or a competitive runner…everyone is welcome to join us twice a

The Arts are a way to express who you are and show the world what you are
about. Learn and share with a different art form each week. Crafts, painting, clay,
and just plain fun!
SKATEBOARDING CLUB
Join Chris as he helps you discover your inner boarder. We will spend time at the Y
and the Skate Park as we get comfortable on the boards and gain more confidence
in our skills. This is a chance for those with more advanced skills to share with
others and beginners can get more comfortable as they learn from others.
TEEN BOOT CAMP
Teen Only Fitness is just the beginning! Do you want something more? Need
something different? Looking to supplement your activities or just want a chance
to get a good workout? Teen Boot Camp is that stop! This is no ordinary BOOT

Los Angeles.
Muscatine Athlete, Corey Leonhard has
been named a Co-Captain and will be in

start in Washington, D.C. and
eventually come through Iowa in June.
This once in a lifetime opportunity will
bring the nation together in

Special Olympics movement of changing
the world through sport, creating
respectful and inclusive communities
everyday, everywhere.
EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
The Opening Ceremonies is a long
standing tradition for Special Olympics.
At the State Summer Games, Athletes,
Coaches and Volunteers march into a
stadium greeted by thousands of fans
and spectators cheering and giving high
fives. The ‘Flame of Hope’ Torch is
circled around the stadium and the
games are declared “Open”. An
electrifying experience for everyone
involved!
If you are a fan of sports that create
unity, athletes who inspire, and
connections that foster acceptance,
then you are already a fan of Special
Olympics.
