March of 2015 marked an important milestone
for PERSAD Center as we moved to our new
home in Lawrenceville. It took years of planning,
but under the dedicated leadership of our Board
of Directors we created something more than a
new space. We built a visible symbol of support
and inclusion for the LGBTQ community.
Our new home provides PERSAD Center with the
needed capacity to grow our on-site service array
and the opportunity to expand our services. No
longer restricted by space and access limitations,
PERSAD Center is embarking on a future that
includes an expansion of services to LGBTQ
youth, seniors and people living with HIV. We will
help fill the gaps in access to medical care and
deliver education and training services designed
to improve the way LGBTQ people are treated.
It’s a very exciting time and we’re grateful to all
of our supporters, sponsors and friends who have
been with us through the transition to a home
we can all be proud of. We love showing off our
news digs, so please contact me for a personal
tour and discover for yourself how PERSAD Center
is expanding to serve the community.

With the move to our new home in 2015, PERSAD Center is
positioned to deliver expanding services to Seniors, Youth &
Families, and people living with HIV. Our expertise in serving
LGBTQ people makes us uniquely qualified to address the issues
and heatlh disparities faced by the people we serve.

SAGE Story
In 2014 PESRAD Center participated in SAGE Story, the national
digital storytelling program that helps older LGBT people
develop their storytelling skills and document life experiences
including discrimination, economic challenges, long term care
and isolation. Along with the educational and advocacy value
of these stories, PERSAD recognizes the therapeutic value of
sharing our personal journeys. PERSAD helped 10 regional
seniors draw upon their unique life experiences, and write and
record their video stories.

of LGBT older adults and addressing issues related
to LGBT people as they age.
