Ions solves environment problem.
- We have recently installed ionizing equipment, says Roy Carlsson, owner of
Kungsbacka Bilskadecenter. Earlier we had problems with dust and troublesome odour,
which also was spread to other parts of the building. Because of this we have together with
the landlord and an environmental company worked out this solution. And after just two
months it has shown that we have succeeded to solve the problems.
An
installation
of
ionizing
equipment is working by sending
charged ions through a duct
system into the premises. The ions
attract particles with foreign
substances which exist in the air.
These is gathered together and
removed to a destruction plant. The
technique can of course be used in
many other situations.
- You can compare how it feels
to go out after a thunderstorm; the
air feels completely fresh and clear,
says Roy.
The
company’s

is a large part of the business. But
they
take
an
extensive
responsibility around the whole
repair.
- This comprehensive view is a
benefit for all involved in a claims
adjustment. It’s better for the
insurance company and shorter
period of waiting for the customer.
Collision and parking damages
dominates, when theft damages is
decreasing.
With
the
new
technique with anti-theft device
mounted in the key it’s almost
impossible to steal a car today. The
thieves can steal all properties of
value which lies visible in the car!
But obviously also properties which
not is visible.
- The latest is that they steal
airbags! says Roy.
There are just as many damages
today in total despite that the cars
has become much safer with a lot
of new technique mounted. And
contrary what you could expect has
the company less to do during
wintertime.
- It’s quietly during the winter,
but in the spring the work increase
rapidly. I think that people rush
more during spring on the whole,
with everything which has to be
done.
And
then
accidence
happens. Otherwise there is a
tendency that the households not
longer give priority to repair smaller
damages on their cars. They put
their money on other things
instead, for instance new furnishing
in the bathroom or a plasma TV,
and drive on with a bodywork
damage on the car.
- This doesn’t happen with
company owned cars where they
as quickly as possible take care of
all damages, says Roy. These cars
are going to be replaced after three
years and must therefore look nice
in respect of keeping its value.
What colours is in great demand
today?
- Silver and different grey
shades have been fashion in
several years, but now it seems
that more colours are coming back.
Metallic paint which is so popular
can give us certain troubles
occasionally. The shades alter and
we have to spray larger section of
the car. If we for example spray the
door only, then it will diverge from
the rest of the cars side.
High-tech in the repair shop
A profession in a garage was
earlier considered as noisy, heavy
and dirty. Parents, with their old
picture of mechanic work in a
garage, advised their young people
not to seek this type of work.
- With the new data technology
in cars and better tools, cleaner
and
more
silent
working
environment you can’t compare
how it look like today. In school, the
vehicular
course
programme
requires for each year higher and
higher points to participate, says
Roy. So I’m not worried in finding
competent staff in the future.

Background
Matseco AB is the company who
has delivered the ionization
equipment installation.
- It was Harry Sjögren AB, the
landlord, who connected me with
Kungsbacka
Billackering
&
Bilskadecenter, says Mats Nilsson,
managing director and owner of
Matseco.
It is Mats self who has invented this
method. The technology is not new
by itself but to apply it into a
ventilation duct system is new.
- You remove static electricity
in the air simply! And then all dust
is falling down on the floor.
The company he has founded has
until today done hundreds of
succeeded installations, both in
Sweden
and
abroad.
The
manufacturing is done in Varberg.
The sizes of installations fluctuate
very much.
- We are working with
everything from small bedroom to
big industrial premises. We are
right now going to make an
installation in a 27.000 sq.m. large
premises for a gigantic company in
Colorado, USA.
An installation for domestic use you
can buy for a couple of thousands
(note:SEK). It’s a cheap way to get
rid of mould or other troubles in
your
home.
The
equipment
consumes
minimal
electrical
power, says Mats.
Matseco AB is situated in
Lackarbäck, Mölndal. They are
also renting premises from Harry
Sjögren AB.
