Machine Zone is a global leader in free-to-play mobile gaming. The
publisher’s flagship title, “Game of War – Fire Age,” is the largest
real-time, massively multiplayer mobile game in the world and a
worldwide top free and top grossing application.
To grow its mobile user base, Machine Zone has employed
sustained advertising efforts. With large budgets on mobile video, RTB,
and social networks worldwide, Machine Zone required a partner that
could help it understand trends in the mobile ecosystem and convert

With a high volume of ad impressions across hundreds of ad networks
and countries, Machine Zone places significant value in generating
quality creative assets. Machine Zone needed a way to holistically
understand the latest creative trends and—more importantly—know
when a competitor has pushed a new ad campaign. Even more,
Machine Zone wanted to see which networks other advertisers use and
get an understanding of those advertisers’ Share of Voice (SoV) in the
United States. SoV helps Machine Zone benchmark against
competitors and also identify which geographies they are actively
targeting.
Solution:
Using Sensor Tower’s Ad Intelligence, Machine Zone can quickly
identify the top advertisers on any given network and dive into their
latest creative assets. Within Ad Intelligence’s Creative Gallery, Machine
Zone can see which creatives their competitors are currently running
and the relative distribution of those creatives on each network.
From Kate Upton to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Machine Zone has
a number of high profile celebrities under its Intellectual Property (IP)
and, as a global category leader in gaming, is a potential target of IP
theft. Likewise, it needs to ensure that networks aren’t running older
creative assets. With Ad Intelligence, Sensor Tower enables Machine
Zone to easily identify infringing and outdated creatives so immediate
action can be taken.
