As a personal injury attorney, I have
seen too many catastrophic injuries
caused by distracted driving. After
representing numerous victims with
traumatic brain injuries or those who

I had to do something. I launched
the Avrek DriveSafe Scholarship
Program—an effort to raise
awareness on the issue of distracted
driving, especially with young
motorists and texting. The program
is intended to educate the public on
