CLEAN DRINKING WATER
STARTS WITH YOU.
If you own land in the Croton Watershed — a 375-square mile
are across New York’s Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess
Counties and Fairfield County, Connecticut — you may be eligible for one or more of our programs.
All farms and woodlands located within the New York City Watershed have an impact on water quality. The Watershed Agricultural Council can help you tailor a land management plan
for your property that keeps water clean from the start. Simple
measures like sampling and testing your soil will guide you on
the health of your pasture and help reduce overgrazing. Our
technical staff can direct you on proper manure management
techniques like composting too. You might qualify for financial
assistance to implement these and many other conservation
practices! Call us at (914) 962-6355 to find out what you can
do to protect your farm, the environment and drinking water
quality for 9 million consumers.

“Thank you so much for putting together this
organization. I would not be able to compete
if it were not for your kindness and generosity.
Here is a picture of me show jumping. Almost
everything I am wearing is from you.”
- Chloe L., Vashon, WA
“Thank you for everything you guys do—without
this program, I wouldn’t be able to do what I
love!”
- Veronica H., Ashburn, VA
“Thank you so much for the wonderful clothing
you’ve sent both my daughters. You have no

them!”
- Mrs. B., Kings Park, NY
These are a few of the notes we’ve received from riders we’ve helped through The Rider’s
Closet program, and we have our many generous donors to thank for it!
Founded by Georgina Bloomberg in 2006 and relocated to Pegasus Therapeutic Riding in
2010, The Rider’s Closet is a nationwide charitable program that provides new or gently
used equestrian apparel to scholastic riding programs, pony clubs, therapeutic riding
centers, and individual riders in need. We accept all equestrian clothing and boots except
helmets.
For information about making apparel donations,
requesting items or volunteering, visit
pegasustr.org/trc.
You also can drop off donations in the
Pegasus booth during the week of May 5-10.
