Jack A. and first lady Carla Markell performed the Pulitzer-nominated play, “Love Letters” by A.R. Gurney at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover on Saturday, Sept. 27. More than 300 attended the performance with both a pre- and post reception, where guests had an opportunity to mix and mingle with the governor and first Lady, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, state Sen. Brian Bushweller and many other local business people from the area. Proceeds from the evening’s performance went to the Kent County Fund for the Arts. Attendees were also delighted by beautiful a capella music presented by “32” from Wesley College’s Music Department, a delightful performance of “Who’s on First?” and a short feature of “The Wizard of AHHHS” from The Children’s Theatre. Both groups are grant recipients of the Kent County Fund for the Arts.
