WOOD FROG (Scientific Name: Lithobates sylvaticus) Researched and presented by: Adam Wood frogs are cold-blooded vertebrates and amphibians with a wide mouth. You can recognize them by their black “robber’s mask” that appears over their outer ear and extends to the bottom of the front leg. They also have a white line outlining their upper lips. Their moist, thin skin can be different shades of brown, tan, rust, gray, or green.
