It contains the common names, terms and abbreviations dinar gurus use when they give updates. Things move fast in Dinaro World so they make short cuts in the chat rooms or forums to get their info out as quick as possible You now have “the secret decoder ring” of the Iraqi Dinar… Once you read this guide you’ll be able to speak “dinar” and explain what the heck these guys and gals are actually talking about! J Dinar Guru Resource Bar = The area on the left side of the http://www.DinarGuru.com home page…You will see Live Baghdad time, Official CBI Dinar rate, Dinar Guru RV meters, and the possible “to do” list. CE = currency exchange Redenominate = introduce a new currency (we do not want this…we want an RV or float) RV = Revaluation…dramatic increase of a currency…we are hoping for a revaluation of the dinar. RI = Reinstatement…some gurus feel the dinar will be “reinstated” to previous pre-­‐Saddam value. There is slight controversy over the exact number but it’s around $3.22 according to the gurus. Float = gradual increase or decrease in a currency based on market forces…supply and demand. Programed rate = this is the rate Shabibi made for the dinar to stabilize the currency and hold inflation in check…this is NOT the true value of the dinar. At one time it was as Low as 2400 the CBI has SLOWLY raised it to the current 1166 rate. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 HCL = Hydro Carbon Law – this law (when passed AND implemented) will determine who has rights to the oil and the amount of shared revenue each Iraqi district receives. (Over the years Maliki has approved 3 versions of this law and it is now up to parliament to decide which is best…or to create a new one.) N = Najaf: the president of the House of Representatives—a powerful and influential position in Iraq. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 A = Allawi …he was the interim Prime Minister of Iraq until 2005…he is not “officially” in the GOI right now…Allawi is in a power struggle with M to be part of the government…this is a major hold up to progress. S = Shabibi…he is the former governor of CBI. Internationally well respected…Maliki chased him out of his position and ultimately out of the country. T = Talibani…he is the president of Iraq. In Iraq most of the power is with the PM. There is a power struggle going on right now to share the power more evenly…some gurus say power sharing is the key to the RV. It is rumored that Talibani Died in 2012 after a mysterious illness. The position has not been filled by anyone else and Talibani has not made a major public appearance since?? Barzani…He is the president of the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He has a lot of political power because he controls the most profitable and organized region. Most of the oil being produced now is within his control. Barzani is considered to be the unofficial “president” of the Kurdistan Region. Kurdistan = the northern region of Iraq. This are of Iraq is the most stable…they are producing the most oil right now…and are in political debate with Maliki over HCL and other key laws…The region goes into Turkey and Iran. They own MANY tanks. This is the region Saddam gassed and killed thousands of people. Ultimately Kurdistan wants to be independent. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 ME = Middle east Erbil/Arbil Agreement = Major Kurdistan city (4th largest Iraq city)…this is where the power sharing agreement was made between Maliki and Kurdistan… The agreement was Maliki would allow for a Supreme Council headed by Allawi and other keys power sharing. Maliki has dogged implementation for years now. CBI = Central Bank of Iraq…this is the institution responsible for maintaining financial stability of the Iraqi Dinar… UST = United States Treasury ABC guys = These are the gurus’ government sources. The gurus insert ABC to keep their contact identity safe. ABC could stand for UST, FBI, CIA or any other government agency. O = Obama Lop = This is how the community describes one of the possible actions the CBI may take with the dinar... www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 Lop mean to literally remove the 3 zeros from the face of the bills (a 25000 note becomes a 25 if a lop takes place)… Most gurus don’t believe this is going to happen. We do not want this scenario to play out but it is possible. VND = Vietnam Dong (has nothing to do directly with the Iraqi Dinar) GCR = Global Currency Reset. They pass laws…For a law to be official it must be read 3 times in front of parliament, voted on and placed into the gazette. Gazette = This is the official publication outlining Iraqi Law…nothing is official until it is in here. EC = Economic committee. It’s not quite clear what their role is but it appears They create laws and policy for parliament to consider putting into law. They influence things heavily. FC = Financial Committee. Like the EC, It’s not quite clear what their role is but it appears They create laws and policy for parliament to consider putting into law. They influence things heavily. Raise the Zeros/remove the zeros = This is a term we see in translated Iraqi articles. The CBI uses these terms when talking about the currency plan… There is debate between the gurus over what this really means…some feel it simply means increase the rate…others feel it means lop (see above), still other believe it means remove the leading zeros off the nominal rate making the current .00086 rate become .86 Most gurus feel this means an increase in the dinar’s value. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 Circulated Currency = Dinar inside of Iraq Uncirculated Currency = Dinar outside of Iraq (You hold this) Has nothing to do with if your currency is worn or not. Ch7 = Chapter 7…International sanctions imposed by the UN…some of chapter 7 was lifted in December of 2010….Other major release in Summer 2013…we are waiting to see if the UN removes them completely and Iraq completes the final pieces with Kuwait. Some gurus feel the RV can’t take place with Ch7 in place at all. 13301 = This is the US presidential order that protects Iraqi DFI funds from their creditors…giving the US control over Billion and Billion of Iraqi funds. This has been set to expire each March…the president has renewed it each year dating back to GW Bush. Some gurus have reported this order is what gives US citizens the right to own dinar. It would be a “sign” that Iraq has settled with their debtors when the US no longer renews this order. UN = United Nations Paris Club = Informal group of financial people made up of the biggest countries and businesses in the world. Iraq owes them money. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 DFI = Development Fund for Iraq…this was a fund created to help pay for food, supplies etc. while Iraq recovers from the wars…Some of these funds were returned to Iraq’s control in June 2011…part of oil sales are placed into these funds to pay debts-­‐
specifically Kuwait. May gurus felt June 2011 action signaled the beginning of the RV…we were all disappointed…although this was an important step toward what we want IMF = International Monetary Fund…this group dictates monetary policy for the entire world’s central banks…Iraq is working with them…the gurus feel it’s to increase the value of the Iraqi Dinar and to become internationally recognized currency. CL = Christine Lagarde. She is the head of the IMF BIS = Bank of International Settlements—this is the Mother ship to all international and Central banks. This bank feeds the other banks the exchange rates between countries. ISX = Iraq’s Stock exchange WB = World Bank…lending bank to counties. WTO = World Trade Organization. Iraq has been accomplishing tasks to become a member of this organization. Some gurus feel a tradable currency is one of the major stipulations. www.DinarGuru.com © copyright 2014 MBPD = Million Barrels Per Day (oil related)…Iraq is now producing about 2.8 MBPD…making them one of the largest oil producers in the world. WMD = weapons of mass destruction. It is thought sanctions preventing Iraq from owning them has been lifted…several gurus feel this sanction must be removed before the RV can happen… A sovereign country must be able to protect its resources from invading countries…a revalued dinar would be valuable. NDA = Non-­‐Disclosure Agreement. 800# = Some gurus feel we’ll need an 800# from the banks to call to make exchange appointment.
